Valentine One VS Escort Passport 9500ix
Is V1 still the best cop radar out there? I remember it was almost coke vs pepsi topic but now it seems like Escort is almost better than V1... Please correct me if I am wrong, been almost 2 years since I last own a cop radar...
When I used to own V1, I used to have it setup so that it is connected directly through the fuse box instead of that ugly cigarette plug... That is why I am leaning more toward V1... but please let me know if 9500ix is much better choice than V1... In the end, I care more about performance... Any advice would be helpful... Thanks guys! |
pringles vs lays

<10 Mph over the limit is better than any Radar detector.

I am checking... It was like coke and pepsi if i remember correctly as in both are good but it all depends on the preference of the user. I guess I should also ask, has there been a new model that made v1 or 9500ix look bad? |
no matter coke, pepsi, valentine no valentine, escort ( male or female depends what you prefer) you can never trick a pig.

I am assuming your not a huge fan of cop radars? |
V1 and 9500ix take the same cord. I prefer the 9500ix as it has the speed camera/red light camera warnings. I've had three v1 and they all seem to go out of tune after a year or so and start false alerting a lot. 9500ix has a self tune and with the GPS has a ton less false alerts from the start. With the majority of police going to laser, radars detectors are a dying technology and a lot of people are going to Waze.

mine has barely any false alarms besides the recent newer cars with rear radar or something making my detectors (not just v1) go off all the time. those i would probably need a firmware update. cars like some audi's seems to trigger my issue. |
