That's one of my pet peeves too. I notice that it's always women passengers that do it. My last several cars have had the frameless door windows and besides their greasy fingerprints on the glass it can't be good for the window mechanism when the window is used as a handle like that.

just inform people how you want them to close the door, people I find are receptive when you ask them, unfortunately it does not occur to them cause they probably drive some pos.
