T minus 2 days....

Always feels like Christmas in April every year. She purrs once again as a DD in only 2 days after being tucked away in the garage for 4 months. Now to find the best way to work with the fewest pot holes.

Finally took mine out two weeks ago and have only driven it twice. Raining today, and in the 50's tomorrow, so out she comes...

kenchan 03-31-2015 11:53 AM

... lift off? :ugh:

Apparently salt really does cause hypertension.

kenchan 03-31-2015 12:48 PM

:icon17: i just dont like washing cars period.

LAVA 03-31-2015 01:41 PM

Supposed to be nice here all next week, mine's finally coming out of hibernation on Monday, can't wait!

Bshields22 03-31-2015 02:10 PM

:happydance:

LAVA 03-31-2015 02:49 PM

One word. NEVER!

Davey 03-31-2015 03:08 PM

Mine's been out for a couple of weeks, minus last week when it was 28 - 35 degrees (but no snow, so no salt, Ken!)

It is so dirty. I hope to wash it this weekend so I can leave it in the garage for the entire month of April because "it might rain." :shakes head:

I'm on vehicle #34 and cannot imagine not being able to enjoy it every day. This one is now hitting 2 yrs @ 50,k miles.

I'm Midwest - where winter is so much of the driving/skill season...so, Blizzak, and skillz.

Then, yesterday, summers (hopeful) are back on, brakes upgraded to new slotted, ram air filters reconditioned, fresh carpet floor mats due to salt stains, and the summer tune applied! Presto-chango I'm out of winter mode. Never having to spend a day without...

u can haz all the skillz but then people around you can crash into you while ur just sitting there waiting at the light...chances are much higher in the winter.

skillz is taking another car in crappy weather.

Not only that but I can't imagine only having a 2-seat car that can barely carry 3 bags of groceries and one other person as my only car.

confucius 03-31-2015 04:52 PM

Well, I'm an over million miler - and my skillz/luck have held up ok with weather seasoned drivers all around me.

I'll keep on my program - you're welcome to just stay where its warm and dry...and we'll get along fine.

Yes, I can understand that.
But not my only car...
My preference.
Actually drives better in the winter than my well shod FWD wagon.

mrthomr 03-31-2015 09:16 PM

T minus 9 hours and 48 minutes. :happydance:

58 degrees and sunny tomorrow. I may need to take an extended lunch. Now, deciding where to park in the lot......

Oh now, I have had three bags of groceries in the Z many times without a problem, even four or five. What you need to do is get rid of that dead body you keep carrying around in the back. That will free up room for at least two more bags of groceries.

jpkirk 04-01-2015 08:35 AM

Or, get a backup Prius.

FPenvy 04-01-2015 08:37 AM

is it weird that I didn't bring my Z out this morning because it was only 30.......but i'm half tempted to go home during lunch and get it (1 hour round trip) since it'll be about 55 by then

HEK 04-01-2015 08:50 AM

lol...I never put mine away and now I know I will never put it away as it drives great in the snow and you can practice your drifting skills every time anywhere ......:driving:

i hear its going to rain again this week... as long as temps are above freezing and dry by the weekend, i might do the oil changes on both my sleeping beauties. :yum:

if not, i'll just play with my rc cars. :icon17:

b15 04-01-2015 12:52 PM

I took mine out two weeks ago but have only driven it once due to weather and travel schedules

RT2012z 04-02-2015 08:15 PM

50 degrees here today but weekend shows traces of snow so in the garage mine stays.

Maybe next week.............

mrthomr 04-03-2015 08:12 AM

Rain or shine, mine is out. Gives me an excuse to get some alone time when cleaning her up. I really missed the power of this car over the winter months. It was smiles all the way to and from work this week. The wife and I took it out on a date night last night and she reminded me how much she doesnt like it due to the cabin noise from the 18" res. exhaust. Sounds like heaven to me.
