I am going to resist the almost overwhelming urge to build a pun or two around the name of the product. Vagcom -- really?

You're referring to the VAGcom equivalent from Nissan, which is the CONSULT III. Sadly, unlike VW and its aftermarket, Nissan never released a form of it into a portable tool like VW did.

Features such as the automatic locking of doors at 10 mph are examples of things that can be programmed using the CONSULT III. The Altimas have a boatload of dealer-programmable features that many don't know about, such as auto-relock of doors if the intelligent key isn't present/detected for a period of time, amongst others.

Sucks that we can't get this in the form of a handheld device, but in the case of the Z, you'll get access to your ECU codes and a small handful of little features and that's it. For the ECU part of things, it's worth it alone, because the software will give you readout from any sensor there is on the car, which is pretty neato.

(I'm rambling because lack of caffeine)

no, it's to prevent spin outs from abrupt off-throttle. the car straightens out automatically when you let off the throttle abruptly.

try it in the rain.

I think they chose the name VAGCOM just to get sales up. If I saw it on ebay id definitely bid

great to hear there is something. the consult 3 appears to be similar. I just wish there was a whole bunch of fun stuff that could be unlockable by region. i.e remote up windows
