I live in a place with small town mentalities, I get lots of compliments on my Porsche ( I drive a '10 370z). I just say thank you as I have not found a polite way to correct them.

My car never gets second looks or stares but I do live in uptown Dallas where masaratis and lambos are the norm.

I have the opposite problem. I sometimes will nod at a driver in a nice sports car, and then realize that I'm rolling in my Ford Transit work van..complete with ladder rack.
