Happy, Happy, Happy!
Glad you stuck to your guns! It takes a lot of years to learn how to deal with dealerships. My best line is " I don't have much time. I just thought I'd stop by...I have an appointment in X minutes "
I must say I am real happy with Clear Lake Nissan, in the Houston area. (New car). Cheers |

You should have seen pictures, high res taken in daylight at the least before going. Upon arrival and after the test you should have left without the car! Never discuss financing until after you see and test the car. Also the financing talk would have been after the test and inspection and agreed upon price-- after the car is found to be acceptable - The input would have been ' I have my own' and ended that entire episode. IM late to the party but this is how not to buy a car 101. This should be a sticky..... That being said - Nice new car! Last edited by DLSTR; 04-26-2015 at 02:04 PM. |

In the future, get financing in advance from your own bank or credit union and do not disclose how much your were approved for to the dealership. In the end, if you make the sale, you will cut them a bank check for whatever amount you needed.
Financing through dealerships is always a bit of a racket -- they may or may not get you a better rate, but either way, it means additional kickbacks are probably going on you will never know about, and shopping around, as you found, will result in multiple credit dings (a stupid, unfair rule, BTW). Anyway, I only skimmed, but if your situation boils down to possible false advertising/lemon law stuff and you want the dealership to buy back the car or offer some form of compensation it seems like your best recourse would be to consult with an attorney.

Oh it's resolved through Nissan now. And yes I already was approved through my credit union which is who I switched the financing to a week later they got me that's fine in 6 months it shouldn't have much weight on my score but dropping me 60 points really pissed me off I'm not going to lie
