Michelin Pilot AS/3 tires so you can actually hear the exhaust. I'm like the poster above. Happy with what I got when I bought it.

Best bang for the buck, or how I would mod if I were on a budget.
Swift Springs - Good enough drop for a daily, I'm on coils and dropped about the same height. Exhaust - Fast Intentions is my pick for price: performance ratio Wheels - Some light weight Work wheels. Foglight - Evo-R, the thing makes the Z pretty damn unique.

As far as an exhaust im basically set on the Fast Intensions, but heres the toss up, I dont want the car to quiet and screw up with to much resonators. Im leaning towards non-resonated test pipes and 12" resonators in the CBE. Im afraid the test pipes non-resonated will make the car sound raspy and crappy.
Anyone have feedback or advice on this? |

also, and i could be wrong here, but it seems to me that the ones who mod the car are the ones who have problems/issues all the time... guess my opinion is if i want something faster or with bigger wheels or with turbo, etc. i would've bought a different car... but that money thing always gets in the way... or i'd have the new viper instead

janglez, Agreed, too many mods can create more maintenance issues but some people don't mind doing it. However, just an exhaust should not increase maintenance issues and will not void any warranties. This is all I needed on my Z performance wise and it has increased my power (subjective, not dynoed), plus improved sound and almost 2 mpg better on gas (fact).
OP, good choice on FI exhaust. Can't answer your question on the test pipes sound but if your warranty concerns you, better do a little more research. Good luck! |

A thorough wash and a fresh coat of wax, be proactive and prevent the swirls the dealership tried to install from spreading.
On a more serious note though, some sort of coating on the interior is a must have. You will kick the @#$% out of the car just getting in and out and it will scuff the door panels and seats up no matter how careful you are. Scotchgard comes to mind immediately, at the very least on the driver's side. |
