You're right about that! I'm not sure why that is, but it is something we talked about all the way back in March / April when people first started tracking this car... my theory at the time was that ppl with manuals have a tendency to spend more time at redline bouncing off the rev limiter and such... also when you downshift, it is possible with a manual to turn the engine faster than redline if you are too aggressive... there have been studies in the past that oil heats up and breaks down the most at higher RPMs, so if you believe what i just said above, manuals will spend more time at those higher RPMs and have higher peak RPMs, and thus more inclined to get to higher oil temps

It's not that hitting limp mode is the problem. Even if you don't hit limp mode, 260+ is definitely not good for the engine and that is definitely an attainable range via prolonged streetdriving in traffic in summer climates.

supra turbo's were auto's also.
You can turbo anything. Sh!t , i can slap turbo's on my turbo's, haaaa.
