Nissan 370Z Forum

If your in LA, and you got your Z in the last 6 MO.

No problems on my end. The car handles well and I felt secure on the road. Having said that, I agree that most southern Californians see rain and view it

No problems on my end. The car handles well and I felt secure on the road. Having said that, I agree that most southern Californians see rain and view it as an irritating inconvenience, speeding up to get to where they are going. It's always a dangerous situation, regardless of the car you are in. It's just unbelievable to look at a traffic map on a day with light rain and see the sheer volume of reported accidents.

Try working the center where you get to deal with all the accidents being reported. Its unbelievable how many people call for one accident as they're passing by it. And don't let it snow...thats just asking for trouble.

Irritating inconvenience? No no no, I think not. I think SoCalers don't know the difference between driving in wet and dry conditions. I've ridden in a family friend's car during a storm, and they just floored the pedals and ran it hard into corners like any dry day. Rain just showcases our ignorance, and further reinforces my belief that we need more stringent driving tests.

Of course, it doesn't help when you have a bunch of unlicensed / uninsured idiots on the road with you like in Los Angeles...

Yeah I'm pretty worried that someone is gonna cream my Z. I've noticed that alluva sudden there is a lot of debris on the road. Lots of little rocks that weren't there before. Sounds like I'm drivin down dirt roads. Anyone else notice this? (I'm driving in Northridge).

Also my GT30's are super dirty and picked up all sorts of crap dirt/rocks/leaves.

seriously socalers dont know.
out of 365 days.. it rains like what... a week or two? three as far as i could remember.

everyone here is just so used to driving WOT , taking hard turns , doing a 60-0 brake test at a stop light and they forget what the consequences are when they do that in the rain
