Default Looking for information on this Z!

Hi all, hoping for some light to be shed.

I'm looking at a 370 right now in Ontario that came from Quebec. Belonged to forum member MD-370z but can't seem to contact them (Inbox is full). I've scavenged the past threads and from what I can make out, he was the only owner and drove it year round. Given that it is an 09 with 34,000 kms on it, naturally I'm a bit suspicious of such a low odometer. If anyone has information on this car I'd be interested to find out more about it.

Might be a stretch but figured it couldn't hurt to reach out.

Thanks!

-Dallas (hopefully a Z owner soon)

What's suspicious about that? I owned a G37 coupe from 2009-2014 and only put 26,000 Km (16K mi) on it. In fact, if I had driven it more I probably would have owned a different (less expensive to operate) car.

I would just expect more than 6000km a year for any year round daily driver that was also occasionally tracked... Am I crazy?

As for information, I'd like to find out the extent of the mods. Or if anyone knows the old owner, service history.

I had a 2000 Celica that I sold in 2013 and it had 40000 km. I parked it for the winter.

There is actually a big difference between that and a car being a daily driver. My G37, for instance, was driven year round but only on weekends. The rest of the week, I drove an Altima Hybrid. I do not think it is too unusual for a car like this to have such low distance (particularly since it has only 2 seats and next to no storage capacity), but that might just be me.

I have an 09 with 40k. I've drove it a little less than 10k over almost 2 years. Hell, I only put 14k on my 350Z and had it for nearly 3 years.

He made mention that it was his daily driver lol. Probably just had a short commute.

i got my car last year and put 9k on it DD may to november. I can't understand how people manage to put such little mileage on their cars.

Any ways I would be more interested in why the car was moved from Quebec to Ontario. I've had a few freinds buy cars from Quebec to find out later that they had been in accidents.

This was my concern as well. I asked the dealer and I was told it came to Ontario through the dealer network of the dealer who has it now. They said they move them around to the dealers that are more likely to sell specific types of cars.

They are a fairly reputable dealer from what I know of.

As soon as I saw 'Quebec' I worried less about the mileage. A Quebec car raises red flags for me. My dad owned a dealership way back when. Wouldn't touch a used car from the east. The reason was all the salt they put on the roads. Maybe things are different now, but last I paid attention their winters still suck.
Why buy a car driven in the winter anyway? What's so great about this car, or the price that has you wanting it?
Why it ended up in Ontario would also have me asking questions.
Just my opinions.

Depends on how far you have to go everyday. If you are 10 minutes from anywhere you want to go, there will not be that many kilometers put on it per year.
