I remember seeing some drivers with no a/c during the months of May thru August and I would wonder "how could they do it?"
Believe it or not, in my old G37 coupe I almost never used the A/C and this included days where the weather was up to 105 degrees and approaching 100% humidity. I only turned it on if I had a passenger in the car with me.

It is a habit I developed that goes back to the way A/C _used_ to sap HP from the car. I am fully aware that the compressor is turned off under hard acceleration in modern cars, but somehow I just got used to the interior of the car being really hot and it usually takes a passenger in the car to remind me that's not normal

Not with the Z, no chance. The floorpan gets well hot for me, need to either take shoes and socks off to drive or put AC , least facing floor to be comfortable. Especially with the FL heat...

This powertrain will be able to produce 211 horsepower and 258 pounds per foot of twist. The hybrid model also has an electric motor. The other version that is available is the turbo charged three liter V6 engine that has plenty of power and it is able to churn out more than 400 horsepower. This engine will be coupled with a motor that is electric powered. The exact specifications for this model have not been announced so it is not possible to say precisely what specifications will be available in regard to the electric motors and their associated power outcomes.

The new Nissan Z35 2016 will be released at the end of 2015, most probably at the Tokyo Motor Show and it will be put into circulation in the year 2016. The projected price is expected to be lower than price of the 370Z.
This would seem to jibe with the Q60 report in this months Car and Driver. They talk about a twin turbo 3 liter that will do 400 hp. Nothing about, as I recall, being coupled to electrics though.

My guess is the 400hp version will be the Nismo.

They need to up the ante on horsepower to at least 450 or better. 400 Hp is laughed at now by the pony boys.

in the press releases the initial car on the infiniti side will have 400 and a sportier version (IPL) will have 450 the next model year. basically our 370 vs nismo.

sidenote 400hp boosted in a lighter car (Z vs fgt pony car) will absolutely smash that abomination that is a mustang.

i dont see how they could make it lighter unless the price goes up to 50-60k

my comment was Z being lighter than a mustang.

the next Z will mostl ikely be the same weight or a little bit more depending on the engine weight.

dropping from a 3.7 to a 3.0 can save weight but as always with the ever growing safety concern there's always the addition of weight through safety upgrades.

well for sure lighter than the mustang lol but it would be a hope and a prayer to have a lighter next gen Z without jumping into a 50k+ price bracket.

A 400 hp turbocharged Z that's lighter then "the pony boys" wouldn't be laughed at. If the Z35 could stay the same weight as the Z34 then yeah the next Z would be faster then all 3 current ponys. Even maybe a M4 too. No way the Z would be 450 Hp way to close to the GT-R can't expect Nissan to jump up 100 Hp... when in history have they ever done that?
