Just not sure...

So here is my issue guys...

I bought my wife a new coach purse for vday and in return she said that she had wanted to get me a car cover for "Tina" but wasn't sure what specifically I would want.

When she mentioned it I had a moment where I wasn't even sure if I needed/wanted one. I live in Indiana and Tina says in a garage that never drops below 50 deg F. She has a tender on her and hasn't moved since around Oct and has collected some dust, but nothing I really worry about.

So, with all that said I now need to decide do I want an indoor cover or something else for around the same or less price point.

Also if you suggest a cover could you toss me a suggestion, I'm guessing cover king is the overwhelming winner.

Thanks guys!

Say hi to Tina for me ;)

Ive never used an indoor cover, just lightly go over her with a California duster every couple of weeks when dust particles begin to collect. (If the car is clean with a couple of coats of wax to begin with of coarse). Thats what ive always done with my cars and havent noticed an adverse affects (im anal just like most of us are)

Yea the duster is amazing... I haven't used mine lately though, I guess I should tonight.

I bought one for indoor storage, but recently sold it on here - unused. The issue is that your car needs to be clean before you put it on. So every time you want to put it on, figure on washing the car first. To me, it just wasn't worth it. I will say that mine in in my garage at my office so it's not like people are walking around it, or kids with bikes, etc.
I parked the Z around end of November and it hasn't seen the sun since. I'll pop the garage door and start it occasionally, but that's it.

car covers

i did some research years ago when i bought mine. i can't remember the brand i had gotten for my first porsche but they had 3 different grades. i think i had gotten the best grade and paid over $200 i think. now fast forward to 10 years later and my second porsche. instead of paying the $200 i got mine at costcos and even my neighbor got one for his bimmer. we were both happy with them. i think they were somewhere between $40-80, can't remember. i don't know the brand or even if they sell them any more, the second porsch was another 10 years ago. but the quality was exactly the same as this top rated brand i first bought. but check out costcos if you have one nearby and a memebership. hmm, a sports car every 10 years? yes my mid life crisis' at 30, 40 and 50 years old. my z was at 50. but i haven't gotten a car cover for that. part of the deal (with my wife) was to drive it year round. so far so good. good luck.

I like covers for the sheer fact that it protects from any contact. It can obviously harm the car too if you don't clean both cover and car, but having peace of mind that there is another layer of protection is worth it to me.

I'm considering a Z speed undertray... no real reason other than I think it looks cool and will make oil changes pretty easy.

when my wife wants to get me something for my car hobby, i always ask for tools...like snap-on, facom, etc.

this way i can keep the tools forever while my cars might be sold and replaced over time.

race-ramps could be a nice choice if you dont have a pair already too. :D

A couple of old bedsheets work well too.

The CA duster will scratch your finish. I stopped using them a long time ago.

I have had one from these guys Custom Fit Car Covers and More - California Car Cover - Free Shipping for about 2 years now. I would definitely recommend.

Z1 Motorsports currently makes the best cover aside from the OEM one, in my opinion... thats what I got for mine, more than happy with it.
