Spoiler Delete?

Wonder if they will have an option to delete the rear spoiler on the sport package?

I was hoping the spoiler would be a stand alone option but they bundled it up in the sport package. I'm not keen on it but it is starting to grow on me.

Since its packaged together, I don't think you can opt out and have dealer discount it off your car. You can always take something off yourself. Depends on how its installed, there is a good change it will leave holes on the hatch after you take it off.

Or your other option is within the traditional forum. Swap the hatch with someone else with the same color.

the spoiler is so tacky, this is gonna be my daily driver to work and for the track, I need a car that's both sporty and the look carries a bit of elegance like a 335i, however the Z is the bomb and there's no substitute. the spoiler just makes it look a bit more low end like a "tuner" or a "ricer", reminds me of a civic haha.. they better have a delete option

I doubt it. Like most spoilers I think they are drilled into the trunk/lid, not just simply glued there.

It's small and tasteful. If you don't like it, just say you don't like it. Why does everyone bring up the word 'ricer' to describe something they don't like? If it was gargantuan like an STi wing then you might have had a point.

i know what you mean, it is a bit more porsche-esque.. still not that great tho. the car looks so much more streamline and sexy without it

I am almost possitive that it is bolted on. Only lip spoilers are taped on. Sure hope they offer a delete option. I do not want money back just want the option of not having it...

I totally agree with 110%. I think that the lines of the rear are masks by the spoiler. In my opinion the car looks soo much better without the spoiler and that's my dilemma also. The cars' profile looks so much better without the damn thing. I want the sport package because of the benefits it gives the car,(bigger brakes, slip diff.,19 wheels, rev match) but I dislike the spoiler!!

The spoiler looking good or not depends on the person. Everyone has their own opinions and tastes. I for one do not like the spoiler so what I would do is ask the dealer to order from the factory. I would order the colors (exterior/interior), sport touring package and navigation system MINUS the rear spoiler. Oh and most importantly, do NOT drill the front bumper to put in plates!!! Ordering might take a week or two but it's better than paying close to 40k for something that I did not want.

That is why I started this thread. I wonder if we can order the car without the spoiler?

I prefer the profile with a spoiler. I haven't good photos from behind with and without, so i can't say for certain.

EDIT: I just perused the photo albums. I definitely prefer with spoiler from all angles. But I agree, it is certainly a personal thing, one either likes it or doesn't. I'm sure it wouldn't cost much to fill in the holes and match the paint. Tons of people did that with Mustangs before the spoiler delete option was available

Filing holes and swapping trunks is a little extreme for me. Since there's no delete option I can live with it. I'll probably end up loving it after awhile.

The 370Z stock Spoiler is just the tops. I think it makes my 370Z look jazzy.
