I see no need to close the thread really. Mostly people here aren't talking about themselves doing anything illegal.

I don't see the point of not having fun in this car, as long as it's safe (but not paying a fee to take it to some track that is either a hundred miles away or that doesn't even exist in your state).
My daily commute bores the **** out of me in the Z. Step on the gas a little when it opens up and it becomes somewhat bearable. However, taking it up north to the twisty roads, that's fun. Even if I never go over 60mph. |

Guess I'm on the wrong forum.
I drive within the legal limits on the street and take my car to the track or autocross on weekends which makes me a boring idiot. :Goes back to the Track section and brake subforums due to butthurt:

I drive within the limits too. "Reasonable and prudent" is the law.
You interpret it they way you do, we interpret it the way we do. No one is wrong. |

I don't think 100 mph on public roads could ever be considered 'reasonable and prudent'. However, I'm not about to sit here and tell you I've never done it Also, I do not feel that he deserved to get into an accident. But there are consequences to every action. While getting your Z impaled on a guardrail is probably pretty low on the risk assessment list, having a major accident is probably tops on the list. And that's what happened. No surprises here. If he was drunk and depending on his injuries, the accident might be worse punishment than the courts would give him. And at least he didn't injure someone else.

About 3 years ago,I got t-boned by some *** hat doing 70km in a 50km zone. He ran a stale yellow which he should of stopped for. There's definately a grey area when it comes to this subject. I myself get to where I want to go in a timely fashion, but there are a lot of people who speed that don't really have a lot of business being on the road in the first place and have cars they can't handle.
Friggin guy hit me with a kea forte too.

It's not like I do it all the time. Sometimes I just want to actually enjoy driving. Otherwise I ******* hate it, but there's no other option here in this state. Mass transit is almost non-existent. |

Haboob,
Have the reopened Arizona Motorsports Park yet? I know it was shut down for a while.
