Default A7 Upshift Delay?

In this video of a G37 there seems to be a bit of a delay in upshifting using the paddles. Do you guys w/ A7's find this video to be accurate?

The downshifts seem to work much better.

I drove a ZA w/ an A7, and I really don't remember a delay like this.

Thanks.

Btw, I have no idea why it's posting two YouTubes on here.

No, it's nothing like that. I don't think he's bumping the upshift paddle far enough to trigger a shift, to be honest. The way those shifts are progressing, it sounds too much like the automatic w/o paddles. Using the paddles with the Z, it's more snappy. Setting it in manual-mode, it's even more snappy.

I don't either. Once past the 1-2 shift they were pretty snappy. Guess it's a G37 programming thing..

Yeah the G37 with the A7 doesn't come with any performance/sports package stuff. It's the base model. To get the sports package you have to get a manual.

Holy crap. Having driven that course on NFS:Shift, I know I could never do it (ie, racing) without braking lines in real life - lol...

The tiptronic in my 350Z is even better than that, looks like over a full second to engage in some instances.

Maybe the audio and video are out of sync. I've driven the G37 auto and it was awesome.

I dont think so, because the sound of the engine seems to be matching the tach.

Don't know as I have not driven the 7AT in the 370. If it is as good or better than the G37, I will be happy.

my gf has a g37 sedan and although it doesn't have paddle shifters..i was driving in the other day and threw it into manual and it was pretty laggy..Similar to that I'd say. Kinda scary because I shifted before redline but it just kept going.

I just test driven and EVO X MR SST for 40min around the mountains with the paddles! I then went back to my 7AT 370Z and i can tell you it’s just as quick! No lag at all for mine, up shifts are just as good.
