Its not the shipping companies, its the shippers not adequately packaging their products.

yah, these larger boxes need to come in on pallets, or even a wooden crate.

Same thing could happen with parts that come from Japan but they pack them good. The issue remains. Ken assumed responsibility and committed to you yet failed to deliver on it. The failure to communicate is simply not acceptable. Bad service. Period. It is unfortunate but many of these small companies struggle to keep up with the complaints and have similarly awful reputations. Any SoCalZ brothers out there by Rancho C should knock at Ken 's door.

I emailed him again on Friday with no luck. Ive lost my patience and it's obvious that he's going to screw me over. Im submitting the PayPal dispute tomorrow morning. Hope it doesn't take long to my money back :/

FWIW, I was trying to get a hold of them for the last 2 weeks, phone line sounds busy.
Finally yesterday, phone rang and Ken answered, I asked about the no answer for 2 weeks and he told me that he just came back from TAS( Tokio Auto Show), and was trying to answer e-mails, voice messages,etc,etc.

I knew it was something like that.

I'm selling these awesome intake manifolds...dyno proven to get an additional 80hp with a tune.

I've dealt w/ Ken. I didn't have any issues w/ communication at all. Seems like a stand up guy.

I guess I better give an update.

I heard from Ken, DE I thank you, I think you led him here, beers on offer if you shoot me an address.

Ken claims that he sent it back months ago, and thought I already got the parts and all was well. I wont go into details about every little thing he said, but its funny that I still was sending constant emails and voice mails and got no response...again I digress, draw your own conclusion...I wrote him an email on Friday night, and am yet to hear back. He did include his cell # which I will try today to figure this out. I will keep the thread updated.

Spoke with Ken, as always a perfect Gentleman. He is very hard to get, but when you do, he is nothing but professional. He said whatever happened is in the past and he is going to get me the parts and ship them asap. I will obviously keep updating this thread so that people know.
I by no means ever want to be anything but neutral about this, I just value dialogue when dealing with made to order purchases, and sometimes small companies have a hard time in all phases of industry. Owning business has taught me enough.
So far so good, thanks again to the 370z forum for getting me this far, if not for DE I would never have gotten his attention...

Interesting read, if I would not answering emails just for a day, my clients would just drop me as their supplier, and I have clients world wide and travel 70% of the Year. In times like these, with phones and other instant email/phone availability, I would just consider it very bad customer service, get my money back and move on.

I would simply no longer have a job, it sort of relies on me answering my phone and responding to emails.

I'm issuing PayPal dispute today. Hope it doesn't take long for my money back. Also going to flame Shine Auto any chance I get, what a joke of a company.

DE, can you reach out to Ken for me as well. I gave him another chance today, called him multiple times and received busy signal, sent another email, and I facebook messaged him with nothing.

Im back!
I bring good news.
Today I received what may be the biggest box I have ever seen in my life. Looked even bigger nearly reaching the ceiling of my dining room when I walked in. Homeless people, look no further, I have a one bedroom for sale now.

The parts are in great shape and look to have sustained no damage on the shipping, and I am THRILLED. The parts look great, I wont know much until this summer when I have them installed, but the quality looks terrific. Ken had kept me up to date via text letting me know about my shipment.
Ken, thanks for making this right, and then some.
I cant wait to update a post during the summer when my project is finally completed and I can share my car with all of you guys!
