However, we want to make sure it is not direct airflow onto the filters as this actually has been tested locally to decrease performance and starve the filter... In essence turbulence is created around the filter causing a starving affect.
Wouldn't you also be concerned about water intrusion on the filters? This will provide a direct path for rain while being driven.

No as the intake duct is several inches below the filters. Like posted above there is no direct air impact to the filters so no water intrusion on the filters. I say this with one exception... Don't submerge the car in water lol

I'm not actually seeing how this is going to do much for us. The crash bar is located directly behind your proposed area of installation. I forecast the airflow just being smashed straight into the bar.

The nismo needs one thing BADLY: A proper fitted radiator shroud from the nose intake to the radiator, with optional naca ducts on the sides for brake tubing. I sincerely believe this would have a drastic effect on our cooling issues. Make that out of FRP and I'll buy one.

Robert,

As in all cars you have the crash bar and then a foam filler behind your bumper. Once fitted I will have a DIY on how to shave the foam to allow the air to flow up into the intake area. I am already working with someone for an alternate Nismo rc brake duct kit. Again there should not be a problem with this intake duct.

What's the size of this duct? If I can fit one on regular bumper I'll get one for sure.

You could try reaching out to Piotr Grzelak on FB, he's been making parts for the Zs for sometime now so he might be able to help.
