Unsafe?

So I dont know if this has been discussed before or not, but ive been here a good while and havent seen it. But as im sure 99% of you are well aware, the 350Z was..... pretty much the most unsafe sports car ever produced, ever. If you didnt, please do a little research.

That being said, why is it when I enquire information from the IIHS, safecar, or even nissan themselves non give clear and concise answers as to what the safety ratings on the 370z are? This has me quite concerned! rightfully so I believe. The 370 is built on a "revised" version of........ the exact same thing, lets not kid ourselves.

Im aware the 370 has several new features on the inside of the cabin to help, such as airbags for every possible place on your body........ but if its anything like the guaranteed 100% to kill you death trap 350z they wont really amount to anything useful aside from helping soak up some of the blood i guess.

Has anyone found any viable, credible information about this? is anyone concerned? has anyone gotten killed in a 370 yet? "would like to see per million manufactured numbers" we are the community, we all drive this car, our wifes, our kids drive this car. This is something I think someone needs to find out. Would do it myself if i even knew where to start digging. Its been 6 years, I think thats 6 years too long to go without releasing info. Seems like they want to hide it to me.

also, unrelated.... but this made me lul. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...mo_first_test/
new nismo is worse than the old one in literally every single category. This will be the last nissan I ever own in my entire life. Might add a desperate price drop on the sale of my car now that I know it will probably kill me soon.

Whhaaatttt ......

Are you serious or is this a pi55-take ...............

It really does not matter what car you are in when you are in a major accident... If the (delta V) Is to high you are dead... There is litteraly a million things that can kill you in a traffic accident... And it does not matter what "safety" rating the car has... Every car in the U.S. has to meet a standerd safety rating in order for it to be legal. Bottom line SPEED KILLS...

Chii, you should sell immediately. I got rid of my death trap when I found out how shitty it was compared to everything else. Im going to a tC since i read an article saying how well it handled and how cheap they are compared to other sports cars.

Unfortunately, now that the cat is out of the bag, your trade in value has plummeted.

So I know a guy with a 40th who happens to be car shopping for a second 370Z. I tried talking sense into him, but he wouldn't listen to reason. PM me when you're ready to sell. He said 15K will work.

I agree. It totally collaborates with the fact that: "Falling doesn't kill. It's the sudden stop."

To quickly answer your questions:
-Yes, someone has died while driving their Z.
-And not all cars are required to be safety rated, usually they take a sample of new cars and rate them. The EPA for MPG do the same thing, they pick & choose cars, so many times car manufactures can just claim whatever safety or MPG they want, until it gets challenged. Good example of this was Ford recently who had to adjust many of its cars MPG ratings.

And hyundai too, they had to pay a fine for false MPG claims

Why not just sell it? Even if you loose a good amount of money just sell it and be happy that its gone. Nobody is forcing you to keep it? I already made a game plan if for whatever reason money becomes though and I cannot afford my car I will just sell it and pay the difference off and be done with it.

Wonka2581 12-01-2014 02:54 PM

I got it.... I got a car that has a top notch safety rating... It will keep you *** safe!!!
