Nismo Spoiler vs Aftermarket

I really like the CF Duckbill rear spoiler, but don't want to disrupt one of the major attributes that make a Nismo stand out and that's the stock rear spoiler.

Default Nismo Spoiler vs Aftermarket

I really like the CF Duckbill rear spoiler, but don't want to disrupt one of the major attributes that make a Nismo stand out and that's the stock rear spoiler. It's kinda like a 1st generation M3 with its spoiler, how do you guys feel about your stock spoiler in comparison to the aftermarket ones?

I like the duckbill too but as much as I love it there is something about the Nismo wing that make it special and should therefore be left alone. Many convert their base or sport to a nismo because it looks good. Not much to change with the nismo exterior imo.

Very true, that's why I opted for a Nismo, just wanted to do aftermarket wheels and suspension, the body curves are Perfect!!!

The duckbill is the best looking spoiler IMHO, it flows well with the Z. But the stock spoiler just looks bad azz and is very aggressive. I thought about swapping to a duckbill, just can't see myself doing it. Want to keep the NISMO a NISMO, otherwise would have just picked up a base and did body mods to it.

I'm not a fan of duckbill but I'd love to get the amuse spoiler if I got tons of extra money. But in the meanwhile, stock spoiler is damn nice.

Duckbill spoilers are ugly. End of story. They should be left on ducks.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm currently in the same situation with my '13 nismo. I love the nismo spoiler, but I love the duckbill more. Does anyone know if the holes will even line up for the duckbill? The info says it will directly replace a sport spoiler, but I have no clue if the mounting holes are the same.

Great timing... I was wondering this myself a few days ago but couldn't find any pictures of a duckbill mounted on a pre-15 Nismo.

I contacted Fly1 to ask the same question and they said you will need to drill additional holes for the duckbill. I responded asking if the duckbill will completely cover the remaining holes making sure there is no need for body work. I will update as soon as they get back to me.

IMOP the duckbill looks like azz...just sayin.
The front end and entire rear end of the nismo is the key to the older nismos being the best looking Z on earth...

This is very true. That's why I bought the older model nismo in the first place. You may be onto something.

IMO the duckbill does not flow very well with the pre-2015 Nismo's body lines as they are more "edgy" and the duckbill is more curvy. The duckbill flows better with the base model's body lines. I would just stick to the oem nismo spoiler which goes perfectly with the nismo kit
