That photo profile clearly shows the uniqueness of the older NISMO's, you can see how much longer both front and rear bumpers are compared to any other trim

That is what really helps them stand out as to where the 2015 is marginally longer

Can't go wrong with either trim or year but personally I would get a 2014

Divide the car profile in half. Top half. Bottom half.

Look at the top halves. Other than the spoilers they have the same curves... because it's obviously the same body. Then look at the bottom half. Yea you can tell the difference between the three types.

When I'm on the Interstate and see a 370Z in the distance (either coming at me or heading towards it), I can't readily identify what kind of 370Z it is until I get closer. I can identify it's a 370 (on a bad day I might mistaken a 350) from farther away because of the curves, but if I'm in the mood to actually call out the model -- and assuming the body hasn't been JDM'ed extensively -- I usually don't make confirmation until seeing either the spoiler, rear bumper, or the lower body (also running lights or lack therefore of help from the front).

From the front the 2015 is easier to identify because of the "red lips" and sideway DRL. From the front, I still feel the 2013 NISMO looks the same as a base Z at distance, though I eventually will see the longer lip when close enough. The two toned color of the 2014 version made it easier to call, because the base Z was single color.

I know what it's for. I didn't say take it off or that it was useless.

It's also possible to get downforce with more subtle spoilers. The 2015 NISMO should be evidence of that.

Obviously long distance identification is important to you.

It's called sarcasm.

Antagonistic would be if I trashed your car or called you names.

Or thought that the 2015 NISMO wing was a puny little winglet (more sarcasm).

You comments made me chuckle today. Thank you.

Have you not seen a NISMO in person?

It is very evident how much longer the older ones are in person. So much so that you must run an extension for the undertray

You are discrediting yourself and invalidating your opinion by continuing this strange argument

As much as you are entitled to your opinion, you have to expect some back lash when you decide to criticize a body kit that is owned by 99% of NISMO owners.

Same battle occurred when the switch from 2012 to 2013 front facia happened. You can choose to get but burned or enjoy the humor.

Well I suppose I'm glad I could be of service.

But yea, I do a lot of cross country driving, and identifying cars at a distance is something I do to stay awake on the long boring stretches across nowhere. Looking at the horizon also helps to avoid Highway Patrol and avoiding road debris/damage.

Depending on which body colors, I might agree with you!

In a car, from enough distance? No. I can't tell.

Also from the pictures, the middle car looks longer than the top and bottom. I know that isn't the case because it's cropped... but it does if I took them literally and never saw a Z before, just using those three pictures.

Looked up the dimensions of each Z.

2014 NISMO is a whooping 3 inches longer than the 2015... most of it in the front lip.

Yea, yea... insert cliche phallus joke somewhere.

Wow 3 inches is significant, what about the rear bumper?

14 NISMO to 15 NISMO appears to be the same length for rear bumper.

I still believe the main body of the car is the same length for all 370Z's. That is to say parts like the fender, door, and quarter panel.

Yeah, sucks they created more drag for the 2015 Nismo. (Note: The older Nismo has .29 drag which was the same as the coupe sport, but with the high wing generated more downforce keeping drag equal & more downforce is a win/win. The new Nismo lost downforce with the changed wing and generates more drag.)
