well it helps to read up on how to deal with cars salesmen, my dad was one so I knew a little bit of there scams. also I went there the last day of the month and last day of a big sale. usually they need to meet some quota to get some kind of a bonus.
so I went there acting like I don't know what I wanted an test drove 3 other cars then last I drove the z, I wrote a check for what I wanted to pay regardless of if I would get it or not an told them thats what I would pay an acted like I didn't care even tho my insides were exploding with how much I wanted this car!!

they said no it's not possible so I gave them my phone # then put the check in my pocket an left.
by the time I got to my Car they came out an said they could do it.

also my wife works at the DMV so I had her pull the records from previous owners to get the guys info that traded it in...called and asked how much he traded it in for (29k) so I kinda cheated

happiest day of my life (unless my wife is reading this, then the happiest day was marriage lol)

I've been searching for a white /red 2013 for a while now. But only last month there was a 2014 red nismo with 2k or 3k miles for 29,998 at a bmw dealership in NJ. If it was a 2013, I would have jump on it, but the 2 tone look just doesn't fit well with me. Nonetheless it was sold within 2 weeks.

Btw... There is a 2013 red nismo with 8k for 33,998 in Richmond VA. Unfortunately, I called them and they reply with my offer with "we are a no hassle dealership".

Awesome. You definitely had an edge by knowing how much it was traded in for.

The story that they fed me was that the previous owner traded it in to get a GTR, so they had to give him a good deal on his trade-in in order to make the deal work.

yeah I got lucky with my situation but I also waited about a year to get a good deal and wasn't in a rush. also u can usually never trust "the trade in story" even tho that would make sense.

just don't rush it and use
true car, kbb and whatever else u can when u find a car ur interested in and know how much it's worth when u go in there.
http://clearbook.truecar.com/used-ni...1_xa05/t_curve

DONT tell them how much money u have, don't tell them how much u want to spend, don't tell them anything nomatter how harmless it may seem.
just say "I'm here to get this car at the best possible price" and stick to it.
no offer they say should be good enough, they work for u.

and at the end if it all works out, MAKE SURE u say it's not a deal until u throw in free tint and whatever else small stuff u can think of (nismo Mats, locking wheel lugs or whatever)

I'm no pro but I like to see ppl get good deals because I have been taken advantage of at dealerships before so make sure ur happy when it's all over

34k OTD is pretty good In my opinion man.
every state and dealers OTD will be different depending on tax's and fees but I think that's good tho

ask for tint lol big deal at least for me in FL

That's a great resource, thanks for sharing. You did get a great deal on your car. Good job. I love to see people NOT get ripped off by dealerships.

Did the same exact thing one month ago. 2012 with 13k miles for 29k. Plus there was over $3000 in mods that I would have done anyway.

Got my 09 Nismo with 24,700 miles on it from a forum member. Up-Rev, Z1 test pipes, ported intake manifold, and Doran intake piping to stock box with pan filter. Clean record, in near mint condition, only had a few rock chips from normal driving which would be expected. Asking was $28.5k, paid $27,850. Was looking for nearly a year and had 3 Zs sold out from under me before finding the nismo, and luckily so. Beyond happy with the car.
