Widest tire size on nismo rims?

Anyone know the widest you can go on tires for the front and rear? Also, what would everyone recommend? I was thinking 275 front and 325 rear. What do you

I believe in theory 315 is the widest you SHOULD put on the rear

The rear will be pinched.

I think it will depend also a lot on how you drive the car. I had a 265/305 and my 2012 NISMO got rather twitchy in the turns and didn't rotate very well. I'm on 255/295 AD08 Rs now and it's great!

I have that set up currently and I'm boosted. It's not twitchy, but with my current suspension set up there is more push or under steer than anything else. I need to tune it better for sure, but I think it would be less if I would get more square, 275 up front and go back to my Nismo sway bar in the back. Suspension tuning is critical, tire size, tire compound, springs, shocks and sway bars are a the real deal if you want to go fast, but for looks and dd you 315 and 275 are about the limit IMHO.

What size do you recommend for performance then?

^what type of performance driving? Drag from a dig or corner carving?

What's your complain about stock size....or why do you want to upsize?

Mostly for grip because of turbo. Would like something that is decent at both cornering and try to get some grip in the lower gears. I don't need the best of one category

What are you running right now?

In general, more tire in the rear means more grip and more push, but if you keep the ratio from front to rear about the same, it shouldn't radically change feel in normal driving.

Personally, I like a little more grip in the rear -- it's pretty easy to get the back to let loose on stock power, so I can only imagine with a turbo...

^^ I think 305s or 315s will do the best in relation to what Jordo has stated...and up front 265 or 275. There are no tires out there that will not bust loose in 1st and 2nd gear with as much boost as you have. The best are r compound tires, but they are going to wear because they are soft. The other favorites which last longer are Mich PSS, Conti DWS and Bridgestone's SO-4s.

I am running 275/35/19 in the front and 305/30/19 in the back dropped on swift springs and paired with koni yellows. Puts a smile on my face every time I fish tail her. Performance wise, I think 275 in the front and 305 in the back is all you need (I am supercharged and there is lots of grip still), bigger than that will be for show imo.

I have 275s on the front and 325s on the rear of mine. Never have heard them touch any part of my wheel well, also the handling is awesome (this tire size was already on the car when I got it so can't say how much better over the stock sizing it is) but will still break them loose in 1st and 2nd gear without thinking twice.
