Nismo Parts -Worth Replacing?
So I am sorry if this has been discussed and I couldn't find it.
I was talking with my brother in law and he mentioned that if I do get a Nismo it wont be necessary to upgrade exhaust or anything. My question is to the Nismo guys. Is this true? I want Nismo mainly for the bodykit. Reason I say this is I did the math and if I get the stock and setup an amuse kit it will run me the same or more to do that. So I am better off just getting the Nismo. So with that said. I would still like the idea of upgrading exhaust and such. However I need to know. Is it worth the cash or is the Nismo setup actually pretty damn good? |

Only reason to buy a Nismo instead of a base + sport is the following:
The Nismo body kit, The Nismo interior, The little exclusive ## of ## plate behind the seats. There are better exhausts and suspensions out there.

To be honest, I wish I bought a touring model for leather seats, nav, and suede door inserts. |

So next question.
I was reading up and learned that the bose system is not amazing if you really love audio. Next, the whole car is wired into the Navigation unit so I cannot upgrade that. Anybody get the Navi addon without bose audio and add a sub and such? Or would that be difficult? Or would I need to get Bose with Navi and then upgrade that along with changing out the wires due to the ohms or whatever issue? |

Y8ou're right about the sound system...Its not that great....I personally expected more since its a Bose system...Your better off going aftermarket in this category. ..If u ha e the Navi system its difficult to go after market as u mentioned with the complications regarding the wiring..

I love the Nismo for the body kit and interior. I love they way they look and how everone always steers and takes pictures of it
You don't really have to upgrade anything! When I bought mine I was going to keep it stock I've only upgraded the exhaust, air intake, test pipes, CS gound kit..... The truth is I love the Nismo and truly believe ever Z driver wishes they had one

I'm loving my NISMO! I definitely plan on upgrading my exhaust, though. The NISMO exhaust is kinda quiet.

If you're getting a Nismo, keep everything but the exhaust. Also consider what you intend to do with her. Most don't or just occasionally track it, if that's the case save your money. Spend on a few Nismo details, like a shift knob, If your into transforming your car, get the sport.

Axmea so here are my plans.
Full Exhuast Swap Cold Air Intake MOTORDYNE M370 Intake Manifold Pully Upgrade Coilovers Wheels Complete Audio Upgrade And then a few cosmetic things on the exterior and maybe some interior. As far as track goes I wouldn't mind trying it. But I will more than likely just drive it to work every now and then and take it out into the mountains and such. |

I suggest a tune after all your engine mods are done.

The Nismo H-pipe exhaust is actually pretty well designed -- I'd swap out the OEM cats for either HFC's, TP's, or headers, but the cat back is a good design and sounds pretty nice too.
The springs and shocks are better than the standard Z, but not great. I don't think swapping out the sways is worth the trouble unless you will track the car, but you could add additional bracing as desired. Tune and higher flowing filters or intake is worthwhile. Keep the wheels and add some spacers.

I got a great deal on my NISMO and I changed quite a bit. But those are things that I would have changed if I had a Base/Sport or Touring/Sport as well. The only area I do not like the NISMO suspension is on not-so-nice roads. Mod are in my sig!
