Highest Mileage Nismo car seen?
Just curious what is the highest mile Nismo on the site? I drive 104 miles a day back and forth to work. I normally will put about 20,000-25,000 miles a year on a car. I am wondering if the 370's have the ability to rack up the miles like the older 280z's or like the late model 300z's. Guess I am going to find out how they do, LOL. The only thing that worries me is the tire bill. What do most folks get out of a set of tires? 20,000? That is about all I could get out of my 1990 300zxtt. I sold it with 165,000 on it.

My '11 Nismo is already up to 21k miles. No issues here, just a rear tire set replacement.
|
I bought the car with 19,000. I am already at 20,100 2 weeks later. Guess I will be the mileage tester...LOL I didn't buy this car to sit. I am going to drive the wheels off of it.
|
Not a nismo here but mine has almost 26k miles and I took delivery last September.

Mines running fine with modz...I'm at 5 in 2 years...daily driver.

We have members on here you are in the 100k or more crowd and tires can be a bit expensive. If you plan to drive more and do not need to worry about performance you can get tires that will last 30k miles or possibly more but you will sacrifice performance.
On the overall car, I am at almost 80k with a SC put on at 19k miles and still going strong. I know others with TT with 50k plus miles doing just fine. The car is very good, just make sure you take care of it with maintenance, not just oil changes, but pads, coolants, etc. |
I am good on the maintenance. Worked as a Nissan Tech for 3-4 years. I turned my hobby into a job. I got tired of being a computer Tech. Everywhere you go, computer questions. I was expecting the 20K tire replacement. I hope I can get that much. We shall see.

i just crossed over the 40k mark. and im on my 3rd set of tires. stock advans lasted me about 15k, conti extreme about 20k, and i just started on the re11. ive done tons of maintenance too
- 3 coolant drain/fill - 3-5 brake/clutch/power steering fluid flush/fill - 3 diff drain/fill - 2 manual trans drain/fill - oil change every 4k or so keep in mind ive only done so much because ive hit the track a handful of times. cheap insurance :p |
im past 67k miles. daily driven
|
Rears I get maybe 12K. Fronts I can probably go 20K but they get loud past 12-15K IIRC.
|
I have 40k miles on my car.. daily driver.. only changed the tires once. I replace the tires with the same Advans it came with.. I get about 25k miles on the advans and I drive the windy Kern Canyon all the time. How are you guys going through tires so often? I dont get it.

I am still on the factory Advans also, I might get 5-6000 more miles out of the rear. they are getting worn. 25K out of the Advans seems doable.
|
I've been wondering the same thing about mileage counts... like the OP, I drive alot and have racked up just under 9K in about 4 1/2 months. I bought it new (2014) with 24 miles. We shall see...
|
I saw 85k once.
OP, follow the instructions to get cheaper or better wearing tires. And do yourself a favor, get rear camber arms and toe bolts to prevent premature ejaculation tire wear due to camber and toe |
I'm not in a NISMO, but the drive line is close enough. i'm at 190,000 miles in my '09. And still going strong, see pic. lol

just clicked past 69000 this week.

I have 48k on my 2010. I drive it pretty hard outside of my daily commute to work....just replaced my rear tires again. I got about 20k out of the BFG KDW's on the rear. I didn't replace the fronts yet haha its a bit loud but a whole lot better with the rears replaced! I haven't had to do any major maintenance yet...
|
Just hit 57,000 miles recently, zero issues since a bought it with 21,699 and i drive it hard. Bought a 2002 WRX as a daily/winter a month ago do the stack up of miles has slowed
