Default 2014 Speakers and Shift Knob ?'s

Hey guys! I just picked up a 2014 Nismo and so far I'm loving it.

Couple of questions though:

It appears the car only has door speakers and that is all. I see speaker grills on the dash, but I don't think sound is coming out of them. There are no rears correct? What are the grills on the dash? Are the doors 6x9's? If I swap them, what is the max mounting depth?

Also, I really don't like the shift knob. I'd really like to get into an all leather with red stitching, a little more slender. I'm coming from a Z32TT with red stitched knob and it was perfect. I can't find anything out there that it's some sort of metal. Anything all leather out there?

Thanks guys!
Steve

If you have the bose package there should be a stereo "in" your spare tire...I don't know otherwise

I thought you couldn't get the Bose package with a Nismo? Anyway, I do NOT have Bose, just a single CD player, nothing special.

I got the BOSE on my 2014 NISMO. with 6 cd changer. I had a 2013 NISMO as well that only had 1 cd capabiltiy. it also Just had door speakers and two mid range in the dash.. There are two speaker ports/grills on the wall behind both headrests as well. Theyre a actual speakers with BOSE (8 speakers) system and woofer inside the spare tire.

I replaced my system when I had a 2012 Nismo.

I couldn't believe how cheap those 2 little speakers were :ugh2

The upgraded Bose system is so much better

Non-bose will have 6.5" woofers in doors, and 2.5" tweeters in dash.
Bose switches to 6x9" in doors, 2.5" tweeters in dash, and adds 3.5" rears, and subwoofer in back.
The factory speakers actually sound pretty good if you amplify them. Don't judge the books by the cover.

Thanks Ron! That helps a lot! I assume the stock HU wont just take an amp and I'd at least have to change that out to amp anything?
