Only speed upgrade is a different gear ratio, lol! I dont believe that the price is going to jump that much. Maybe for the first six months but that is it. Not enough thrills and spills to be asking $45k plus. If the Nismo had 390-400hp then they could sell these things for 48K all day long. Maybe it is due to the small platform. Who knows
Either way with all of the comfort features going into this new model I am sure that they are going to sell alot more Nismos. They do not advertise the Z very much to begin with. So when a new customer walks in and believes that he can have a Z with more performance (or so called per the salesman) these things are going to sell. Long live the original Nismo Z. I bet there sells jump up for those tuner gear heads, looking to mod a car for the track and such. |

Sure... the NISMO will certainly be cheaper than $60K... but how much? Some people in the US might just save and/or loan for the extra money to upgrade for an American muscle on steroids. |
I don't think I saw it mentioned here, but if it was, my bad.
The car is now listed on Nissan's FUTURE & CONCEPT VEHICLES section. Nothing we haven't seen or already knew is on it though... |

I'd like to see the Hell Cat do anything impressive that doesn't involve moving in a straight line.
I agree with what was said before. Comparing a Hell Cat to a C7 is apples to oranged. I would say the same about a Nismo to a Hell Cat. |
What does a Hellcat have to do with a Nismo? :icon14:

Awesome find KrisL. Thanks for posting it.
Ya know, the more I stare at the front of the new NISMO, the more I'm bothered by it. I'm thinking Nissan made the red stripe too thick. Maybe if it was thinner... or had a black line running down the middle. Probably just me. It's an easy enough modification, either way. I'm also unnerved how NISMO is "cut and pasting" this body kit design on everything Nissan. Maybe I'm just getting cold feet and second thoughts about buying this. Still another weeks to decide I suppose. Seems like Nissan is waiting until the last day of the month. -_- |

What if it was grey like 2014? (not shopped by me) http://www.the370z.com/members/7spee...-photoshop.jpg |

Meh, a good number of companies put similar front ends on all of their cars. It's just corporate design language.
|
Im waiting for this bumper to put on my 40th Z. I like the front. Looks nice! a lot busier and more aggressive then any Z previous bumper. Plus I think the red lip will go nicely with my 40th anniversary scheme

Maybe someone can photo shop it for you. Keep in mind when you order the bumper it will be unpainted so you will need to show the painter where to paint red and hope it comes out good. |

If Nissan is going to give every model the Nismo treatment, why not make each one unique looking? Other than GT-R or Z owners, most other Nissan owners or potential Nissan buyers don't even know what Nismo is. Nismo is all about performance, so why not keep it for Nissan's peformance line up? I doubt somebody who is in the market for a Note or Sentra or other cheap affordable Nissan car would want to pay a few thousand more for the Nismo upgrades. Whatever, my next car isn't going to be a Nissan anyways. * Oh, for whats its worth, I think the new Nismo Z is ugly! 09-14 Nismo Z FTW! |

I guess Nissan really thinks there's people out there who need a garage full of NISMO. Pick up the kids in the NISMO Note. The wife drives the NISMO Sentra. You drive the NISMO 370Z to work and use the NISMO Juke for rainy days. The NISMO GT-R is for those secret nights when seeing the sexy mistress. |
I called the Auto Nation dealership where I purchased my 2012 370Z w/ Sports Package and asked about the new Nismo. Said they weren't expecting any until October at the earliest, but told me they could special order one if I wanted. No price was given, plus I don't wanna' deal with dealer mark-up on a new model. I went through the USAA Truecar buying service before and got a decent discount and would prefer to follow the same steps again.

1.) Order Guide / Reference Guide 2.) Open Allocation (sometimes called Allocation Number) The Order Guide is what the dealer uses to actually order the car. It shows what options are available, how much it costs, etc. Most dealers won't actually let you look at the Order Guide, because it shows what they really pay, but they should be able to prove they have one. The Open Allocation is basically the order number. It's what's used for status reports: can the dealership even get the car, what date will it be built at the factory, what's the car's status, how long until delivery, VIN, etc. Any dealership can promise to preorder anything you want -- but only those who can pull it off will have an Order Guide and Open Allocation. At least that's been my experience. |

At the rate that Nissan is going, Nismo will end up becoming the new base model... Quote:

How about Magma red???? Thanks! |
Heh... we are now in the LAST week of July. Let's see if this car actually goes on sale in the month Nissan said it would.
|
They've got 4 days left.
Magic 8 ball says: "Don't count on it" :shakes head: |
the 2013 370 NISMO is a great model, as I purchased one Jan 15, 2013.. Got totaled on 17 April 2014. So i purchased a 2014 370z NISMO on 28 April. Having owned both, I like the 2014 better, It definately stands out amongst any other and previous models with the Charcoal accents. it took me a while to get used to those accents, but it quickly identifies what year/model it is, while there is very little distinguishing factors viewed by the naked eye in the previous models. Just my personal opinion of course from owning 2013 & 2014.
At the end of the day Any year of the NISMO is a head turner, im not too impressed by the 2015 version tho, it seems theyre taking the muscle, and hard core beauty away from the car , to a more luxury type sport look. |
I checked out the link for the new Nismo and just realized in the interior pics that all the brushed aluminum accents are now flat black.
Check it out for yourself. Not cool if you ask me. I like all my brushed aluminum accents and the flat black looks cheap and plain. Jmo |
At least they got the tires right this time ...RE11

In any case, they've got like 32 hours or so for them to make the July promise, so it looks like your Magic 8 Ball is gonna be right! |
Makes no sense for them to be holding out on the Zs unless there are a lot of '14s left. If their sales are up why would you choke up sales by limiting supply?
My guess is they delay is due to the changes to the '15 Nismo and there being tons of '14 Nismos still unsold. Why would anyone buy a '14 when the '15 is more desirable? |

We'll see soon enough. IMHO the 2015 NISMO's biggest sales point is having an automatic option. That opens the flood gates to a larger demographic that wouldn't (or couldn't) touch a stick. I personally think the 370Z market is oversatured and Nissan needs to get the next generation Z out, but who knows... maybe this is the gimmick Nissan needs to squeeze better numbers. |
I honestly hope Nissan makes me regret not waiting for the '15, but I doubt they will.
|
Any official word when the new one is coming? Still end of July?

Here is a sneak peek of how the front bumper looks on my 40th Z. Big thanks to CoolToy for getting this done! I will get different sides and thinking about older rear nismo bumper. |
