Score 644 for Nismo

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if a 644 experian score on my credit score would get me approve for a 28k loan to purchase a Nismo with a good downpayment. I don't want to visit any dealership right now and run my credit risking that i might not get approve with a loan.

Zbrah 03-03-2014 07:27 PM

I approve!

Now go get your Nismo!

Itz_Nismo 03-03-2014 07:28 PM

lol... you didn't even answer what i was asking.

TerribleONE 03-03-2014 07:43 PM

How much down?

Itz_Nismo 03-03-2014 07:48 PM

Thinking about 3k..

Realale 03-03-2014 07:51 PM

Wait 28k loan + 3k down? 31k out the door for a Nismo?

Apply through your local Credit Union, that'll be your best chance otherwise you're going to get raped by the dealership. Good luck.

Itz_Nismo 03-03-2014 07:56 PM

Good to know. I'll try my luck with my credit union if they can finance me that amount with a low apr. If not i have to just wait till i get my hands on one.

out of personal experience. You will get approved, but with a high interest.

Volk Z 03-03-2014 08:43 PM

You know credit score isn't all they look at... Debt to income ratio, job stability, can you handle a Nismo.... Those kinda questions

NismoNox 03-03-2014 09:12 PM

I had a 630 with 3k down, I low balled the hell out the dealer trying to sell the 12 Nismo for 35k, got it down to 29k lol and I had to get a co signer with a +650 to get approved, I also had a 10 Altima SR with only 7k left too pay off, probably why I needed the co signer. What banks really look at is how much you make monthly. If your a first time car buyer, you might need a co signer aswell.

Nah your right why would a bank care if you could afford the payment. .. wrong that's why they got a Co signer with you so if u skip out or realize you can't swing the payment then guess who's liable....yep the Co signer

You shouldn't have a problem, I went two weeks ago and was approved with 3k down and a credit score of 550 (ex-wife did a number on me ) I didnt pull the trigger cause it was a high payment, figured I'd come up with with 6-8 as a down payment and ill get it a bit better.

Banks do look at monthly wage, they estimate by cutting it in half and some other Stuff you mentioned, at least that's what big banks do, I was approved by Wells Fargo and a personal banker took me thru the process. 1.9% for 48 months with 730 credit co signer or main signer since he had a better credit score. Smaller banks tend to get you approved easier which I avoided for the high interest. I didn't need a co signer when I took out the 10 Altima SR for 29k, didn't have any loans or debt back then, got approved with a 750 credit score

Itz_Nismo 03-03-2014 10:22 PM

Thanks...But I'm particularly looking for a PW and my main concern now is the CSC that I've been reading in this forum. Is it worth getting a 09?

ohohoh123456 03-04-2014 10:19 PM

I do not think it's a good deal.

check this out, I used a zipcode around my place but with unlimited range:
Used Nissan 370Z For Sale Chicago, IL - CarGurus

2010 Nismo with half the mileage of the one you have at same price.
2012 Nismo with half the mileage of last one at 5k more.

:shakes head: car was sold to someone else already and they're shipping it in Sacramento. I guess I have to keep looking around for a PW Nismo.

FYI, there are so many third party car sale websites. For example: Used Nissan 370Z NISMO - in 60604 Area - on Cars.com

be careful some of those cars are not nismo

YzGyz 03-05-2014 02:45 PM

No offense but it's a good sign. Buying an expensive car with high interest is a waste of $$
When I bought my car (used), I had and still have over 800 credit score, 10k down cash and they wanted 6.5% to have it under my name. I had just gotten a new job a month ago so that's probably why. I said no to that deal. I told my bro to put it in his name and do his bank thing. He got it for 2.5%. I took that.

big daddy 03-05-2014 04:31 PM

I purchased my 2013 Nismo off of Cars.com for $36,000 and it had less than 800 miles on it.

I looked all the sites and all most purchased a 2012 for $32,500 from a guy in Austin. He had already put FI exhaust and..... on his car.

You will find a deal, just be patient.

NismoNox 03-05-2014 04:52 PM

When I was looking for my Nismo, living in LA it was hard because every time I found one, it was either sold already or you couldn't low ball it because you won't be the only one looking into it. My advice is if your interested in buying one, pursue it quick and smart, but don't jump into something unless it's a good deal and you can afford it. I got my Nismo in San Diego, 2 hour drive.

How does that help you in the big picture? Wouldn't it be far better to get it in your name at the higher rate and refi later?

kind of but not really. Like I said, It was mainly due to my work history. I only had 1 month worth of pay stubs to prove my working income. That was the main reason why. The stub can say $3x/hr all it want but with only 1 month of stub is not really a good track record. I have a lot more stubs available now. :tiphat:
