Default Autodim rearview = fail

Just wondering if any other Nismo owners hate the autodim rearview? Mine never seems to dim at night unless someone is right up on me at light. If they are in an SUV (always) and 50 ft back, the thing doesn't seem to dim at all.

It's my least favorite thing about the car in the 6 months that I've had it (1st world problems).

Does the rear wing get in the way and create some shadow in the mirror? IDK?

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks,
Scott

Are your windows tinted? I had on in my 350 and it worked great until I had the windows tinted, then I was in the same situation as you are.

Nope. No window tint.

Honestly I want to get a base model RVM and scrap the homelink

Are you sure it's turned on?

Yes. Green light is on. When someone is behind me at stoplights it dims perfectly

There should be a small hole in the mirror housing, facing toward the rear, that has a sensor mounted behind the hole. Make sure nothing is blocking the hole/sensor. If the sensor is not centered in the hole, take it to a dealer for replacement.
