Clutch Issues on Nismo

Replacing the clutch master cyclinder is not neecessary in my case. If I was racing, then that would be a be something to consider.

I believe Zspeed will not warranty the CSC if you don't replace the master cylinder as well.

This is off there web site it's something to consider;
"We highly recommend the CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER be replaced along with the HD slave cylinder to prevent problems from worn/dirty original units. No warranty is offered if master cylinder is not replaced."

Nice part selection, what's the weight of the JWT flywheel?

I understand and I saw that comment. I asked the shop about that comment and they said if you want to spend the money then go right on ahead, but there is no need to get a new clutch master cylinder. They are going to bleed out all the original fluids from the clutch & put new fluids in. The guys seem to be pretty honest at the shop and no BS’ing.

The clutch & flywheel weigh 34 lbs and is 17 lbs lighter than stock.

Cool deal. Only reason I brought it up... I had the HD CSC and Southbend stage 2 clutch installed.... 8 month later my master cylinder went out.

I appreciate you asking me. I asked the shop about South Bend clutch set up and they installed three to four in the past and they had a lot of issues. I believe the same issue that you had & they did not recommend me going with it, so they recommended that I go with JWT. The shop has had zero issues with the ZSpeed HD CSC and JWT HD Clutch & Flywheel Combo together and they have put the same set up on a couple of TT 370Z without any issues to this point.

The clutch has nothing to do with the master cylinder going out. It's just a matter if the Master Cylinder is weak or if it works correctly after the system is opened up and re-bled. This is why we recommend just replacing it why everything is apart. No Issues this way and you don't take the chance on contaminating the new slave with grit, grime or pieces of the stock clutch slave that are stuck in the old master cylinder.

Clutch choice will have no effect on how the master cylinder performs.
