Does the Nismo 370z handle better than the 370z sport package?

Please show me something that proves that there is a different transmission in a Nismo vs. any other 370. I'll wait. Do you know this for a "fact" like you "knew" the Nismo was built in Japan vs the others were built in the US?

I was using a Base+Sport as a point of comparison. And I said from a power or handling standpoint, which doesn't include a body kit, leather (since when do Nismos have leather?), stitching (can be dyed red for $3, and it's hard to tell the difference) or wheels.

All this hoopla over which version is the best handling or the best at the track is pointless. The real answer is neither the Nismo or a standard Z. It's this...

That's the one that costs $150k, right?

Edmunds can do their silly day long test allthey want. But ive lived with all 3 models of the car for quite a long time and the nismo is better. Period. Ive had 5 non nismos come up to me with that same BS and got their **** slapped down by seeing my tail lights "all of us stock" and honestly its faster around a track with turns too, but its also less forgiving. U cant drive them the same, u cant turn them the same and u cant launch them the same. These "magazine" tests dont have the cars long enough to get a feel for them. This goes for any make or model, i could probably drive my nismo better than a more experienced driver thats never sat in one before. Not justifying the purchase, im being honest. Ive owned them all.

Oh and u didnt know? Japanese nismos have a rear windshield wiper, navigation, ugly mud flap looking things and LEATHER SEATS. kinda happens my wifes japanese and ive been there about 20 times. And the nismo DOES have a different lsd/tranny than base, but same as sport. Dude, devotion to my car? Hardly. It has more flaws than i can count. Im just stating the obvious. I couldnt care lessabout protecting it, so why do i have a reason to say its better than the fact that it is? Oh, have u owned all 3? Or just one model? Just sayin. And i wasnt sure if they were ASSEMBLED in japan....as nismo is japanese, nissan motorsports "american" division is separate. I even stated that in the post. Im not stating it as fact. But ur comparing someone who has tested the caf for a day in a silly magazine/web show agaist someone who has owned all of them at some point for 4 years. It doesnt matter to me what u believe, just dont argue something that you yourself are only knowledgeable about second hand.

So you bought a JDM Nismo with all of that? I could have sworn we were discussing the USDM Nismo. And what does your wife's nationality or your travel history have to do with the question at hand?

And I'm still waiting on something that shows that there's a different transmission in the base vs the sport/Nismo.

No i didnt. U asked what nismo has leather seats and i told u. I have the same half *** version as all us. It only has relevance in that i have experience and first hand in person knowledge. Not just reading about it online or from someone else. And i see your absolutely fixated on the one thing i MAY be wrong about. Trying to nulify all of the things im not lol. Best thing i can say is. Go drive all 3 of them at a track for at least a week or so worth of time and im absolutely positive u will come to the same conclusion i have all by yourself. If ur unwilling to do that, then it just shows some kind of stubborn defiance and nothing i say or prove would matter anyway. Go see for ur damn self. Stop just listening to what every self proclaimed expert magazing has to say about it. Its your opinion.

This was what I was referring to, since you used it in your math. The vast majority of us on this forum are in the United Stated and Canada. It would make sense that we're discussing the model sold here.

Yeah, I know for a fact it's the same mechanically. The only difference is the SRM. The same VLSD also....but that's moot. The base doesn't have an LSD, it's an open dif.

Now this is a question more than a statement. And it MAY again be just the jdm model, but ive seen in one of those nissan/nismo spec manuals that the nismo has different gear ratios. Has anyone else heard ANYTHING about that? Im trying to find where i saw it. Im not 100% about this one, and again I think this is a JDM thing. Im thinking I saw it on best motoring japan too or something I just cant remember. But everything I can find about the US version is the same. And yes, I merely assumed that the tranny was different because of SRM. Im comparing the car as fairly as I really can, You act like the nismo is the most expensive model. when in fact if you kit a convertible with sport and touring pack with every option "starts at 47k", its actually more than a nismo even with its bose pack"44.5k". Regardless of who thinks their right "dont care" I would like to see someone put together a grocerie list of aftermarket parts, or equal or greater quality for each thing the nismo has different than the sport and keep it under the 5k premium you pay for the nismo. its simply not possible. hell just a full body kit and exhaust alone is half that, suspension, tires, rims, "go ahead and stitch the seats yourself" leather trim, tune........ it cant be done. I dont know why people care so much. If you bought the sport, dont compare it to the nismo, if you bought the nismo, good for you who cares. It doesnt blow the sport away, its just a slight upgrade in an overall rounded perspective. more responsive, looks better, feels better, controls better. yes you can put AM **** on ANY car and make it better than stock. I can take a WRX and make it better than an STI with AM parts, does that make the wrx better than an STI? no, would I be an *** and justify why I bought a WRX to all the STI owners with all my aftermarket bull5hit rants? no. so stop being a child about it. Ive yet to see any 370 base/sport owner that I let drive my car get out after they were done and say "meh, I like the sport better" never once has that happened. until you have one AND the other in your possession for a while, you have no opinion. your opinion IS SOMEONE ELSES OPINION, because your going by reviews set by random *** people on the internet who have the car for a day or 2, in very specific conditions where one car might excel over the other, and a reverse in other conditions. Ive told you, its not as forgiving, its harder to launch. None of those tests were conducted by a professional race car driver, they are just all self proclaimed magazine car testers. Especially the road and track review everyone mentions about the sport beating the nismo at bumpy *** willow springs.

To help you out a bit since you are so beyond understanding what you are talking about. You can buy a different LSD sold by Nismo Japan: NISMO ????????? 2013

The options you can get in Japan we do not get are as follow:
-Navigation
-Leather
-Extra damper & support
-Potenza RE-11

Everything else you are referring to is sold by Nismo Japan and can be bought here if you want.

And for your "comparison" you want to use, it is not $5,000.
It is:
-$33,020 for Sport
v
-$43,020 for Nismo

That is $10,000, you cannot add in the touring package has the Nismo does not get the leather or navigation options or anything else in the touring package. Can I build a better Nismo for 10k? Heck yeah...and I have.
