In a manual transmission vehicle the pedal between the gas pedal on the right and the clutch pedal on the left is also referred to as the "brake" pedal. It is somewhat confusing but the "brake" pedal is in the middle. Same concept applies to this pedal as when used in an automatic transmission.

Running oil for 10,000 miles results in $hit "breaking." Good luck with your braken motor.
you need to be bitch slapped!

I am a very busy person. I am an engineer during the day and run my JiuJitsu academy at night. I dont have time to remind myself when this, when that.. I use my phone to remind me of appointments, and the car cost me around 40K. The Car came with this nifty computer that is supposed to warn you when you need to change the oil... If you read anything you would know that my mechanic said he entered in the information that was supposed to warn me to change the oil. He evidently didnt. I have already said I have never had a car burn oil like this, ever!! I have run cars to 10k without an oil change.. that was when I was much younger.. but they never burned a drop.. So stop being an A$$ which is so easy to do on the other side of a computer. and by the way.. the car runs fine.. sounds fine.. he is going to check it more on saturday..

Quit being a whiny bitch. You screwed up - be a man, accept it, learn from it, move on.

Are you too busy to do proper maintenance on your gym equipment? Checking the oil periodically is just part of using ANY car; it might not be using oil today but that can change in a heartbeat.

If you ran it so low on oil that it started making noises, you've done some damage. You may be lucky and the damage is not too bad.

I memorize exactly when i got an oil change and regular keep a mental tab of when my oil change is coming up. For example i know now i need a change in 900 miles off the top of my head. I'll prob skip the dealer this time and do it myself because dealerships are useless, i suspect they don't replace all the plastic rivets out of laziness when they put the undertray back on.

Mine burns roughly 1 qrt every few thousand miles, so i bought a 5 qrt oil container and i put some oil in it when i see that's is close to low. There was a point where i checked it once and was shocked to see it below the low mark now i keep an eye on it

10K is def to far for an oil change brah! Get that sucker changed

So who puts air in your tires? Does someone cut your meat? You get the point?

You really can't expect to come on a car forum, complain about missing extremely simple maintenance steps, and expect everyone to pat you on the back.....the car's maintenance computer is a suggestion, nothing more..

I think we all learned from this: Don't trust the freakin' computers. They can get accidentally reset. Then something's gonna get braked. I prefer the old fashioned analog sticker-on-the-windshield method. And, as I said above, check it every other fill-up.
