I checked DIY section no help how do you remove the upper wing on the rear spoiler? I know you have to remove upper hatch panel what in need to

Default remove spoiler

I checked DIY section no help how do you remove the upper wing on the rear spoiler? I know you have to remove upper hatch panel what in need to know is if the bolts holding the wing on are over lock tighted and will self destruct when you try removing them. thanks

im sure they are on pretty tight but nothing should break.

I removed mine to repaint. To remove just the top section (with spoiler off car of course), there are (2) 10mm bolts on each end and (1) in the center post. You need a thin wall socket to get to the center one since the access hole is small. The bolts ARE Loctited on pretty good. Once the bolts are removed, our friends at Nissan also glued the pieces together. I had to use a small blade tool or screwdriver to gently pry and pull like hell to get the top off. I was stressed that it would break. It didn't....whew. Once I noticed and felt it starting to lift, I eased up and it came off. I didn't bother with Loctite when reinstalling. I just fastened with bolts and added a bit of clear silicone where it was glued.
