Nismo feels SLOW! :(
I test drove a brand new Nismo and it feels very slow! I thought I wanted to buy one because there unique etc.. but gosh.. Going from a 2009 3LT Corvette to a Nismo.... I sold the vette because I wanted to buy a unique car. Hm... im not sure what to look at now.. Maybe another Lotus Elise? Test drove a XKR and loved the speed.

... Um... You're beating a dead and buried horse...
And no 370Z is as fast as a Corvette... (Watch this turn into a Nismo vs regular 370Z thread)

Come OP... Really? Of course it felt slow. 400 something TQ in your Vette to 276TQ... It's not rocket science. The C6 Vette is alot faster than a stock 370z. No surprise here.

It is slow.
It's a bit slower that a regular Z, as a matter of fact. If you want to whip corvettes with a Z, you'll need boost. BTW, the Lotus is pretty slow too... Unique+fast = $$$$$.

The Z isn't slow... And just cause R&T magazine posted a 1/10th of a sec faster 0-60 and 1/4 time in a regular Z vs the Nismo, wouldn't that be a drivers race? Anyways, the C6 is far superior over a Z. / thread

The Z is blindingly fast relative to many other cars (I love my Z, but I know what it can and cannot do -- and personally, I have more interest in owning an FR-S or a Elise than a 'vette). In track tests I seem to recall the Nismo was (surprisingly) marginally poorer performing on a few track-based metrics (including braking and skidpad...) as compared to the sport package Z, but I could be (and should be!) wrong. It is unknown whether these differences are solely due to driver. The Nismo also crashed into a wall because the brakes failed... that's probably more on the car (and the nature of the test) than the driver. Either way, the body kit, better bracing, nicer wheels and tires etc make the Nismo very bad *** -- no besmirching of the model's worthiness intended here...

Drive a Prius for 6 months and then drive the Nismo again. It will suddenly seem lightning fast.

I don't understand the thinking of the Op here
Knowing all to well the 2014 C7's Are just around the corner, Why look elsewhere? The Z's are not even in the same class. imo C7's Are the Tits minus the Camaro tailights |
