Simple nismo question
I'm in the market to get a 370z nismo my only concern is the ride height, how low does a stock nismo z sit? I'd hate to buy it and not even be able to pull into my driveway
UPDATE: I bought a nismo and so far ive only drug once in my driveway but not real bad although i do have to take a very sharp angle and go very slow Last edited by Raven_32; 02-01-2014 at 06:55 AM. |

You'll be fine. But youre gonna have to learn to pie everything when you pull in/out of any sloped area. Thats just the trade off for having a bad *** sports car as your daily driver. BUT ITS SO ******* WORTH IT

The height isnt that bad. You do need to watch out for steep driveways and monster speedbumps. If you decide to drop the car with springs or coilovers.....thats another story. I wouldnt worry too much with factory height though. Just slow it down on speedbumps and driveways.

measurement from the front using a square, the front lip is 6'' off the ground. From there, the plastic cover slowly dips lower. At about 1ft back from the front of the lip; I can stick a 2x4 standing on the high side with about 1' clearance before I hit anything.

You'll be fine. Like Shadoquad said above, my last two cars had a much tougher time (Z06 and Viper), and both of them were doable. The Nismo, specifically the front chin spoiler, sits quite a bit higher than either of the others. I'm also lowered on Swift springs, and haven't had any real issues.
Now parking lot curbing, that's a different story....... |

The car itself isnt lower. Its the body kit that makes it closer to the ground....mainly the front bumper.

The biggest difference is that the front splitter part sticks out much more than the regular bumper because it is flat vs rounded up. So it'll scrape at a lower angle incline than normal. At stock height, it shouldn't be a problem though. At worst, you'll have to approch some spots at an angle.
