Default Vinyl Wrap

Thinking of doing a dark Orange Vinyl Wrap on my black Nismo. I want a color no one has. My friend works for a shop here in town and i can get a huge discount. What are the Pro's and Cons? So far I know it will protect my original paint.

Please dont tell me to search.. I already did.. when people open new threads on the same subject, sometimes new advice shows up!! so there!

To my knowledge it uses the same or similar material as a clear bra it just isn't clear. I plan on getting some wrap as well a few years down the road. My only concern is how well it will hold up to UV light over time, other wise I see no problems with it and it seems to be much cheaper then a good paint job.

More info.. The place told me it would cost almost as much as a good paint job due to how many hard corners are on the Nismo. They said the rear wing will be the hardest part. I will still look into it.

I will get an estimate for both. Vinyl and a good Paint job and post it here.

The advantage to vinyl is it's not permanent but somewhat less expensive than paint.

You could make as unique as you'd like without hurting the resale value down the road.

Disadvantage, easily scratch-able from what I've heard, And not very durable if left to the elements, And would eventually need to be redone with a few years time.

I could be wrong but surely someone can correct me from first hand experience.

A big turn off is when you stand away from a wraped car, you will see the color difference inside the door, fender, gas door and other panels. More noticeable when you have a lighter color car and wrap dark. And if you get a rock nick in the bumper or hood you can't touch it up.
