I have a set of 2012 Nismo wheels in almost perfect condition (1 tiny rock chip) with 5k miles on the OE tires. But I am in CA...lol

I might agree, haha. I've been thinking I wanted to swap my 2012 wheels for 2013 wheels (my Z is gun metallic) for a while, but I've been getting so many compliments on the silver wheels lately that they are growing on me all over again. I feel like the darker wheels don't show off what is, in my opinion, going to go down as a classic design.

Got a set of 2011 Nismo wheels. Rear tires have 3,000 miles on them. and the fronts have about 9,000 miles on them. I'm just south of Pittsburgh.

Like the silver/chrome thing is a new fad,I think Jesus and Moses were cruising around with silver wheels.

I thought about this response for a really long time before replying to it...... but honestly, the dark rim thing kinda started about 2012. 99.9% of all cars made ever have silver or chrome wheels. so if anything its the silver ones that are played out, not the dark rims for a year........

As far as I remember, the dark rim thing started as far as the smoked tail lights got popular. So yeah, it's been there for a looooooong time already.

i meant stock, from the factory cars. it has NOT been that long. that smoked tail light/ headlight has always been an aftermarket fad since the late 80s on cheap ricemobiles for that "blackout" look. personally not a fan, no offense..... but it looks cheesy. honestly ive never been a fan of the dark rims ether, but it depends on the cars color. on the magma reds like mine.... i think it "fits" and doesnt look aftermarket. if it were any other color im sure i probably wouldnt like it, as it throws off the balance. just my opinion, to each his own.
