I secretly want to supercharge my Z but I'm waaaay over my car budget. I wouldn't trade my Z for anything except maybe a GT-R

I've been thinking about how to word how I feel about this car and why I like it so much. I've used the words precise and tight.
I think the best thing I come up with is, I like this car because I'm in control. I know exactly what is going on. I know where the limit is before I get there. I know exactly where the power is. You are a part of the road in this car. It feels like an extension of you. That's the best I can do to describe it.

I just recently sold my slightly modded 07 Z06 (Katech 110 cam, PSI springs, DRM Bilsteins, Halltech intake, HFC's, AR headers) and bought a 2012 Nismo. That was my second Z06, the other being a modded C-5. In between, I drove a 2001 Viper GTS/ACR and a FFR Cobra. All were great cars in their own right, and the Z06 was damn near the perfect all-around street/track car. I decided to try something new for the experience. I really hardly ever tapped into the 600hp the car had, and repairing the 7.0 in that, or the 8.0 in the Viper made me slightly paranoid.
I think the Nissan feels nearly as planted as the Z06 did, and I can learn to use what the engine has to offer. For me, it's a better daily driver, and fun as hell too. At the end of the day, they are all just cars, and guys and gals like us go through them from time to time. Learn to love what's great about the car you have, instead of complaining about what might be better. Just my .02.... |

Vett's are really nice cars but they loose there value too much. You can loose as much as 20 grand on a vette in only a few of years. If money is no object then buy something worth your while. A friend told me a GTR was not a good buy, and that I could buy a two year old vette for way less. Why would I do that.

I somehow ended up with one of each. I tried to stretching my Z into a maxima when the baby came but somehow ended up with one off each.

I don't know about where you guys live, but here, Corvettes are everywhere. You see them as often as Comaros/Mustangs. There's something special about these Nismos, they're few and far between and handle great.

Like Gauge says, precise and tight.
I absolutely love how the slightest movement of the steering shifts the trajectory of the car; but it doesn't feel over-reactive or twitchy. It was also a very easy car to acclimate to - and the more comfortable I got the more I felt connected to both vehicle and road. I owned an RX-8 prior to the Nismo, and was expecting a slight decrease in handling capability... Nope! 370Z outperforms, fo sho. |

The morning i got my Z i test drove a 2012 Vette left there and went straight to the nissan dealership and test drove my 2014 370 sport package....i could not believe how much more i liked the Z! Dont get me wrong the vette had more power but the 370 handled soooooo much better! I also liked the interior in the 370 much more! Ive had my Z for about 2 months now and have absolutely no regrets!
