They sell a oil filter wrench with a chain on it that's the best one to get, it looks like a bicycle chain. And yes just think of all of those little metal shavings that are stuck in the oil filter from the brake in of the motor.

Yup. I cant wait to get her on a freeway. I appreciate your input though. So I should be good with the 3 oz extra right? Also what mileage do you think I should change the filter and oil? 3,000? Since I didnt change the filter?

When you come stateside, or if you have the time or tools or whatever, you can remove just the filter and lose only like .5 quarts, then keep running on the oil you just put in Lol, Guam has a population of like 53, I'm sure he has

Go by the dipstick. Every engine holds a slightly different amount of oil. What you see in the manuals is a close estimate. I'll hold back on the last 1/2 quart when refilling and top off as the dipstick dictates.
If you're just a little bit over (~1/8" or less), it shouldn't be a big deal. If you can, I'd drain down to the full mark, but don't jump through hoops to do it. As for whether or not you should have changed the filter: I would have, if for no other reason that force of habit, but, with only 1000 miles on it, you should be OK. The oil gets dirtier during the break-in period, but modern engines aren't as bad about it as older engines. Once again I would go ahead and put a new filter on (at this point, you'll end up having to change the oil again), but you should be alright if you do you next oil/filter change a little early. All that said, why risk it? Do another oil change, change the filter, and refill to the proper level.

Also for a new filter go with a K&N it has a hex head so you can take it off super easily with a Socket wrench. As everyone said change your filter, you probably wont have an easy time taking off the filter and not losing a ton of oil... If i were you i would re-do the whole job and take the filter and drain plug off first. Then put the new filter and plug back in and THEN fill up. Nissan calls for 5 1/8 quarts as well for your first oil change FYI so if you say you put in 5 quarts your FINE...
