I shall try this one again.

Now that the car is pretty much neutral, you have to get ready for the snap over-steer that will now happen with this setup. I have been driving for 3+ years with a total under-steer pig so it is a learning experience. Here is an example of my learning curve at 95mph!!!! lol I was running my fasted laps ever (and not really trying) when the car just came around. I hate it when that happens!!!!!! lol

Now that it what I call a "sh1t and giggle" moment ("sh1t" as it happens and then a giggle when you realise you didn;t hit anything).

I've had confirmation from SPL that the wait is now 6-7 weeks, and I have my order confirmed.

The wait is always 6-7 weeks. However, looks promising this time

Sorry bro but the **** part did happen but the giggle part didn't happen unfortunately. The front part of the exit curbing on turn 2 at TWS (on the right edge of the track) has MAJOR HUGH "gator" curbing going on. I put 3 big "dents" (as the tire rotated around) into my front right PF01 rim on that spin. It was close to blowing the tire to hell. I got lucky. I know video never shows what exactly we go through on the track.

But we do keep drivng!!!!!!

Bummer .... I know the feeling as I kissed the wall last Saturday week in my race car - 520hp in a 1000kg car in torrential rain, second gear exiting T4 at Sandown, goosed the throttle in second gear and around she went.

Corner marshall reckons I was tapped but no witness mark in the bodywork, so I'm putting it down to a temporary lack of talent on my part - had to have been the worst driving conditions in many, many years, and even though I had the super-dooper Dunlop "monsoon" wet tyres on, 18% throttle at slow speed was enough to turn me around.

Panel bill was modest which was the only saving grace.

Well BGTV8 - you got me to thinking (never a good thing lol), so I went out and bought some Eibach sway bars to go with the new camber arms and I just finished putting them on the Nismo. We shall see if this can keep the snap oversteer more in control!!!!! I have to think yes since the OEM bars were for the OEM arms. I will put them on full "lock down" and see what happens at 100+ mph. I will adjust if needed. TWS is a very flowing track so "full lockdown" might be too much compared to a slower and more technical track.

I am driving at TWS this weekend so I shall see how they perform and how they work with the SPL equipment.

Also, for all those who care about the SPL camber arms - Sean is going to be at the track as well driving this weekend so I will definitely get a handle on where he is at on getting those bad boys out to you folks.

Should be an exciting (and very HOT) weekend.

Cheers.

You need a bigger front bar, but with all the new found traction up front you probably need a smaller rear bar. Go full stiff on the front and full soft on the rear bar and see how that works.

I hear you ChrisSlicks and I have thought a lot about this. I only have 2 settings on the front bars hence I will definitely go "full stiff" up front. As for the rears, I want to start out "full stiff" on such a fast and flowing track as TWS just to see how the Nismo handles.

I figure I can start at the most extreme settings and depending on how the front and rear work together, I can always "go down" on the rear settings from there. Understand, I am also including the SPL camber arms into this equation, the settings being -3.0 camber, 7.1 caster and 0.00 toe in the front and -2.0 camber and 0.06 toe in the rear.

I want to start from the "most extreme" settings and work backwards as/if needed on the sway bars. I totally want to keep the alignment setup I have (front & rear) which is due to previous HPD testing in other cars and the Nismo too. I know what I want when it comes to turning into a corner and the balance I want the car to be in.

I will let you know what I find out after 2 days of "hauling ***"!!!!!!, sweating my ba*&^ off and just basically having a great time. ;-)

Cheers

Just be aware that the ratio on the aftermarket bars is even more rear bias. I run similar camber settings (doran) and tire compounds and the high speed sweepers is where you really need the rear settled.

Have fun!
