So... how do we jack the front of this car up?

When I lift my NISMO, I use a 2.5 ton low profile jack on either side, raise it to the height I want, and then place one or more jack-stands

When I lift my NISMO, I use a 2.5 ton low profile jack on either side, raise it to the height I want, and then place one or more jack-stands on the frame rail near the jack point. I then go to the other side and repeat the process.

I have also used the ramp method, but that was @ Mike's in GA.

I believe my lip sticks out just a tad further than the Nismo lip and also a tad lower... When we were working on mine we had to drive up on boards under both front wheels to even think of getting a jack underneath, it's even easier though than using your scissor jack to get it started unless you don't have any wood lying around, but trust me, when its time to lower it, your not gonna want to worry about lowering your main jack just enough to get your scissor jack under the side skirt to hold it, then remove the main jack, then finish lowering it with the scissor jack..... PITA

Just lower it on to your wood blocks and be done with it. Also you won't need to jack up the back, we did a buddy's HFC and only jacked up the front, the demon bolt you will want to go from the top after removing your air boxes with extensions on your ratchet, lots of extensions lol or you won't reach and have enough leverage.

Ok, I know where to jack up the rear of the Nismo to get both tires off the ground (in the middle of the diff housing) but where do you place the jack to get both front tires off the ground at the same time???? I have looked but nothing looks stable enough. Pictures anyone????

The search function would have lead you to the posts eventually but I knew right where they were since I just had to figure out how to lift my Nismo.

Try these threads:
best floor jack for working on front and rear of 370z

Using Jack Stand...where to contact point?

The first thread has a crappy illustration from the manual. The second thread has a photo of the underside. If you scroll down the page or possibly to the next page the jacking points are circled in red.

Hope this helps,
Mick

Mick
