The rattling is driving me freakin crazy
I've got a rattle underneath the car that is constant (well I think it is underneath) when the car is in gear and cruising. It goes away when I take it out of gear and coast.
I've got 1700 miles on it. It was not there in the very beginning. Ugh! |
No. 100% stock.
|
Go to the dealer, maybe the exhaust shrouds are loose
|
Could be the rear hatch! Mine rattles on deceleration.
|
yea id take her in....
|
Maybe the clutch chatter?
|
Warranty, Warranty, Warranty. Use it! That Nismo wasn't cheap. Have the dealer figure it out.
|
Mine does this too... I think this is normal on deceleration for this drivetrain from other posts I've read. Other people refer to it as "rasp" but it sounds like a slight rattle to me. On my vehicle, it goes away (or I don't notice it) when it warms up.

Mine to gets worse as it heats up.

Yeah like everyone else said, take it in to the dealership. |
Keep us posted, interested to see what it is

It's probably the exhaust if it's a rattle like sound (like a rock in a can or something).
Probably a lose bolt or something. Just take it in to nissan, will probably take 3 seconds to fix on a lift. |

Found the rattle...
It's the stick!
The rattling is coming from the stick shift. To really get it going I get it into 3rd and bring it up to 5k rpms and viola, the rattle is there, sounding like a russian roulette wheel. |
