Any sound clips of Res FI test pipes on Nismo?
So I'm thinking of getting the F.I. resonated test pipes for Christmas, but was wanting to know if anyone had these installed with the stock exhaust. I was wondering if there was any hissing, since they are resonated.

I have ART pipes, and there is no hissing with the stock exhaust.

I am running the stock Nismo exhaust with the FI res test pipes. I also removed the Resonators from the Nismo exhaust before doing so. It makes the worst Rasp noise I have ever heard! Cant stand it. I am getting my FI exhaust installed on DEC 14th and this should eliminate the Rasp! The Nismo exhaust is not made for all that air coming through it once you put the Test Pipes on. At least that is what FI is telling me. They said once I go with the true dual exhaust the rasp will go away. You cant get rid of the hiss, that is part of the car.

Yes they are...with a dual exhaust cat back system you should not have any or a very slight hiss. However, if you go non resonated on your mid pipe or with an axel back, it will make the rasp louder as Armhunter indicated. You cannot make a resonator on a test pipe large enough to deal with exhaust flow beyond the mid pipe.
