Pressure Relief Vent on NISMO

on Nismo's back bumper, there are 2 slits present, as they call "Pressure Relief Vent" like the ones on Porsche GT3 and 370Z Amuse bumpers.

As some sources say, Nismo Aero Kit including the entire back bumper is FULLY Functional without gimmickry, but some has suggested that those slits(vents) are only for looks.

Could anyone please explain?
Thanks in advance!

They are only openings ,they don't have any duct work or anything like that but never the less they will release heat.

They are there to release all the hot air that results from people speculating about what purpose they serve.

Which is quite a lot.

if anything came out air wise we would see residue from dirt and road grime streaking out. but i never do.......

we just need to take off the bumper and see where the vent takes us!
