I'm always impressed how well big 3000 lb plus Nismo does at these events. I run in XP with stripped out race cars and usually hang with them time wise in my street legal Nismo. Most of race cars in XP are 1000 lbs less than big heavy street legal Nismo I drive. Marina is perfect for drifting. When my car was stock I drifted it a couple times out there. Very easy car to hang the tail out ....forever!

Here are results

And more pictures - some of your car in action!

Were you the black 370Z that day? I looked up to that Nismo man. I wanted to meet the owner! Are you the owner of that badass Z that rips through the corners?

I'm super sorry I was out of town. My schedule with work is brutal and I keep missing These motor X events but I'm dying to go to one.

I love that our cars can just hop off the highway for an afternoon and mix it up in these kinds of events. I can't wait to get a chance to race my DD.

Yes Sorrry I couldnt hang around but I was working your run group and had an appointment I had to make after group 3 ran. My freinds were making fun of me saying my car used to look as nice as yours!

If you want any tips etc I'm happy to help. I have AX'd my Nismo in almost every configuration possible with all sorts of differnt tires. I also have been autoxing on Marina airport surface for long time and know what works well out there.

But love seeing another 370Z out there. I have been lone ranger for over a year at most of the events in 370Z.

It was nice meeting you! My name is Johncy btw. What tires do you think I should get for street/track use. I'm looking at the Nitto Invo and the Hankook V12. Looking to get 305s in the rear and 265 in the front for my stock wheels. I'm also looking into antiroll bars.

Your Z sounds amazing, absolutely amazing. I talked to Rob at Z Car Garage and he is a great guy and very knowlegable. I see one of your sponsors is Z Car Garage. Nice!

Are you going to be there on the 6th?

Johncy

My name is Grant. Unfortunately wont be there on the 6th as Im on vacation in Hawaii that week.

I'd reccomend 295 rear and 275 front Michelin Pilot Sports PS2. Those are awesome tires. The Nitto and Hankook you are looking at arent all that good for autocross or track work. Also thats too much of a stagger which will force your car to understeer at AX events. You should have plenty of room to clear those 275's on stock suspension ride hieght car. If your worried go to 265. I run 295's in front and 315's in back but use Hoosier DOT R slicks. I run 285 and 275 for my street setup on same wheels. If you are less worrieed about wear Hankook Rs3 is a great track tire. You can run 285 rear and 275 or 265 front.

Be careful with swaybars. Car definitely will benefit from bigger front bar. I dont know that it needs much more in rear bar. Bigger front bar will help keep rear tires hooked up better.

Thanks for the advice Grant. I really appriciate it. I will look into the PS2s. As for power, how much are you pushing? do you have a 10psi pulley for the SC? Thanks again!
