How do you fix them? A lot of what I've found has been unfixable - an area where the dash slightly touches the windshield for example. Sure, I could shove something in between, but eventually that will come loose too and it looks like crap. Have you found things you can actually just tighten up?

The dash was easy to take apart in my truck. I remember rattling in the door, took the door apart and all it was, was the door cover was loose. Most everything was just a loose screw! Rear view mirror rattle in my honda, I replaced it. My FJ cruiser, nothing rattle in that bad boy! My Nismo, just the trunk so far, if its the trunk. Its in the trunk area. I will find out what it is when I have time. |

Ive been noticing a buzz coming from the back sounds like the plastic around the hatch area, starts buzzing super loud if you hit high rpms at high speeds. Im the type that is highly annoyed by rattles, my shifter rattled but i fixed it.

Ok, so I took a good look at my trunk and i would have to agree. The bump stops are too short! When i close the trunk it latches way to easy. I will think of some way to fix it this weekend and let every one know how it goes. It need more pressure on that latch to stop it from moving. A solution is on the way!

Fixed the trunk rattle, It was easy to do. Went to Albertsons, which I am sure other places have them cheaper. I paid $1.99 I think. Doesnt matter to me.. Anyway, here is what I bought: Felt Dots:
And I placed them in the grooves where the bump stop sits. Here: |

I just dynamatted my entire hatch. It took 5 hours or so but gave me confidence to rip open my doors too. Go to a dealer and ask the service manager to tell you how to rip open your doors and hatch. They have awesome service manuals that you can look at for about 10 seconds and know basically how to do it without f'ing up your trim. Also there are utube vids how to take apart your doors. They helped me s lot and I did it all without breaking anything.
The Dynamat made my road noise on "very textured" California roads go from unbearable to merely annoying. Im going to do some research on which areas the Dynamat helps most and add sparingly. If you tap around on your car and find areas that "ping" instead of going "thunk" you can probably Dynamat the critical spots without going overboard on weight. I carpeted my hatch, and then took a box of 4 sheets and put the stuff up around my shock towers and up in the fenders in all the spots that "ping". It helped a lot. That shot is about my halfway point. 2/3 of my first box ( I usef two)Once done the thing was blanketed.
If I were to do it again I would tap around my entire cabin and mostly just hit the spots that ping. (to get better results with less weight)

The clutch rattling noise is the dual plated clutch rattling together WHICH IS NORMAL on the 350z and 370z which i have owned/own both.
When you press in the clutch the plates are compressed and then the noise is gone. Example shut your car off in neutral with the clutch out. Noise will be heard. Then press the clutch in and shut the car off... NO Noise.... All normal boys its just due to the twin plated clutch.
