My hatch has rattled a little since day one... now something on my dash is vibrating. This kinda stuff sucks, but honestly I've owned 2 Nissan Z cars, a Honda Accord, a Lexus ES (gussied up Camry), an old Subaru, an old Saab, and a Toyota MR2 and all of them developed rattles in a very short period of time. It's unavoidable unless you want to rip the car apart and add 100 lbs of Dynamat. That **** is heavy; I don't think that weight estimate is an exaggeration.
you arnt too far off. i hated adding the amount i did, and will continue to add to my car but as a daily driver the road noise starts to get to me. best way ive found is to compensate. lighter exhaust, TP's, ect. its not alot but helps me justify the added sound deadening weight. plus its disturbed all over the lower portions of the car.
