My New 2013 Nismo
 

I ordered this last April and finally picked it up last night. It has the new Bose sound system.

Wow, the new wheel color and calipers look amazing! Already got the windows tinted?

Can you take a couple pics of the interior showing the new fuel gauge and also the Bose radio/center stack?

Yes, the silver monstrosity has been replaced with basic black and it blends in with the rest of the dash now.

It also has bluetooth connection that integrates with your phone. I tried it today. It was pretty cool. When someone calls, their name shows up in the stereo display and it has voice command recognition. Satellite XM is also included with the Bose.

Bluetooth on all 2013 NISMO's or only with Bose? The one I'm looking at does not have Bose.

Nor the nifty camera. :)

The Bose system is actually a package that includes --I Think-- the bluetooth. When I ordered the car, there was such little info available. I don't think the bluetooth is available separately. The reverse camera I had to have the dealership order from Nissan and install separately. I also ordered the Stillen Gen3 from the dealership but they won't install it.

How is the backup camera? I've been thinking of installing it. Can you see anything in that rear view mirror monitor? The screen isn't to small?

hey OP, you getting the zylon coating **** ? im skeptical about it, but i got the platinum package, with 6%. so it comes with zylon coating, scotch guard and finished interior, window, rim, and plastic protectant. they are also tinting it for free, as well as a full professional detail.

the car has more little changes than i thought from my 09. mirror heaters, some.... THING under the dash next to the start button that i dont know what it does (little fined vent looking thing) among the obvious changes like the GTR brake system "not rotors and calipers", smoked rims, annoying sat antenna on the roof, subtle color changes to the dash "black around the computer readout" even the key has a little Z on it now to indicate you dont just drive a normal nissan i guess. nice attention to detail. but one thing bugs me. on my 09 i had a nismo oil cooler, and it NEVER even with hard driving got above 180-200. now this one was supposed to have a oil cooler, which it does, but its the one that started coming on the Z's since 2012. and im pretty confused because it runs just as hot as my 09 did BEFORE i put the nismo cooler on it. runs between 180-220 with NORMAL cruising. obviously i havent opened it up yet, nor will i until about 2000 miles, so i dont know if it will actually overheat or not. But can anyone clarify that this cooler has a thermal plate??? so perhaps it only allows flow when the car gets a certain temp??? would make sense, but that costs extra money so i cant see nissan doing that.

will post pics of it when i get it detailed, coated and tinted next saturday. for now you will have to just look at the tiny 150x150 avatar lol, sorry it was a shitty quick pic and i didnt even get the whole car in it.

The backup camera is great! I thinks it's important because the visibility in the rear is VERY limited.

It seemed to overheat when I took it out for the first time. There was mild radiator steam comming out of the engine. I took it out today and did drive it a little hard and smoke was comming out of the rear exaust. The dealership said this is normal and expected for around the first week.

Looks awesome! I love the red calipers. Just might have to get mine painted. It's also nice that they included an option for an upgraded sound system in the '13. Because I couldn't get those on my '12, the first mod I made was to upgrade to a Pioneer double DIN head unit (with bluetooth), JL speakers, sub and amp, and a backup camera. Big difference over stock. Keep the pics coming. Would like to see your tints when they are done.

On the Stillen Gen3 how often do you have to replace the dual air filter? The dealership says that the have to take the bumper off every time to replace.

Nice! I would color match the handles and emblems. It will look SICK!!!

The bumper is required to come off to change/re-charge them.
I believe you must re-charge the filters every 30-40k miles and replace them just under 100k miles. This also depends on the type of environment you are driving in and the dust/debris level.

niiice! love the subtle changes that Nissan has made. I wish i had a rearview camera built into the rearview...all i can see in my rearview is a spoiler haha
