Not highly possible, it's been out for a while now. Just do a forum search and you will find pictures of it somewhere... goes for over 100K.

My bad... just remembered it's actually RC that's out.

chii370 09-05-2012 09:03 AM

wonder what motor it will be? at the time the ported 3.5 aka the 3.8 was the latest and greatest thing. but now its common to find most 3.7 ported to 4.5. so maybe it will be called a 450RS? who knows. I don't remember the 380 ever being 100k.....maybe I'm mistaken but I thought u could get it for around 55k didn't do any research on it, this is just what I think I remember seeing back when they were new lol. so don't consider it a viable source lol. but do consider this....who in their right mind would pay 100k for a 350z with a body kit, 400 fly wheel HP and some suspension mods :p

I inquired about this last April when I ordered my Nismo and the regional rep said that it was not available. I had read about it online and wanted one.

Armhunter 09-06-2012 06:45 PM

The body kit on the 380rs is ugly! i would not want one. Although, I just took my Nismo in for an Oil change and they had a new 2013 GTR sitting in the room... I do want that..

I test drove a charcoal gray one (GT-R) before I picked up my Nismo. Very fast but the Nismo felt like more of a sports car. The GT-R had so much power but it was an automatic. For $129,000 I wouldn't buy an automatic. I am hooked on my 2013 Nismo!! The last Z I had was my first car and it was a 240Z!

I got the chance to drive one at a track and I know EXACTLY what u mean. 100% honesty it ROMPS my z around a track but its not as fun. yes it glues your face to the drivers side window on right turns and u will be wearing a neck race after 2 weeks of owning it. but its SO good that its boring. its nearly impossible to make the car go wild or even come close to losing grip unless u r just retarded and go into a 50 MPH turn at 120. in that regard it reminded me of a go cart. by the time ur in it for 30 minutes and your on lap 20 the smile u had is now gone, your bored. YAY CONTROL. and don't dare turn off the traction control (which doesn't change anything) otherwise Nissan is chomping at the bit to void your warranty. don't even get me started with launch control. if all u care about is numbers? by all means be dumb and surrender your 130k. if u wanna have FUN save ur cash and get a 370. toss 20k at it and it will be right beside the gtr.

forza370z 09-07-2012 11:35 PM

Year I heard GTR is all computerized. It's just like you playing GT5 with all the aids turned on. It gives you perfect launch and perfect cornering. Even a noob can drive it like a pro. On the other hand, the 370z will keep you so busy inside cockpit and not everyone can do well on the track. In this sense, yeah the Z is more fun.

chii370 09-09-2012 11:56 PM

omg...... fatal and RETARDED flaw in the 13 nismos. I was reading weight reduction tips and thought I would take out the spare. "only applies to Bose package"

so first thing I find odd is that it has an extra trunk mat with sound material on it. then once I got to the spare I found out why and face palmed so hard I almost killed myself. guess where that extra woofer is?

that's right. its a big black plastic disk that says Bose on it and it sits ON TOP of the spare.
normally this might not be an issue. but after I took out the spare I put the woofer down in its place and what do u know....... as suspected the screw down thing bottoms out before its tight enough to hold it. so I thought SURELY they put a disconnect for the woofer back here......NOPE. its wired straight into it and there is no disconnect as it runs back between panels and the frame.

I ask u this. what happens when I NEED that spare? that woofers just going to wildly bounce around in the empty space? who's ******* stupid *** idea was that? I think this is petition worthy.

forza370z 09-10-2012 01:03 AM

Ouch! That sux... Do you have any pictures? Maybe you need a spare donut for your spare tire to hold the sub when you need your spare tire on your car! JK...

chii370 09-10-2012 07:38 AM

well...... Nissan does some DUMB **** sometimes. but all jokes aside that's actually true lol. unless u can find something else to stick there that is roughly spare tire size and shaped lop. I will take pics this weekend if someone doesn't beat me to it. I'm at work away for this week. its annoying sometimes, Nissan tries to cater to every demographic at once. and u cannot do that. they don't make a car specifically designed foe only one type of person. unless u bought a quest, in which you are part of the "likes ugly ****" Demographic. but if u look at Mitsubishi they are clearly made for 16 year olds. same as scion. subaru is half and half 16 year old/old people but they think their cars are worth their weight in platinum (I own a 02 wrx. they aren't) good, but not worth a small fortune. and Toyota worries so much about saving trees they haven't made a car anyone remembers in about 10 years. I think each company focuses on their respective retarded short term goal that they easily overlook simple things like this. I honestly thought we were about 15 years past the stupid OOPS automotive design era. Renault, lancia, Saab and Volvo were the automotive "innovative" tard carts and look where it got 2 of them!

honestly I don't think ANY development was considered with adding the Bose package to nismo cars. I can just picture them having a 15 minute coffee break brainstorm "this should work" solution and just went full swing without a second thought.

That's crazy. I am having my car detailed today but will check ASAP and report back. Thanks for the heads up!

I just ordered my Stillen Gen 3 from one of the sponsors on this site. He gave me a great deal! Much less than any site I've been to and cheaper than the lowest sale price on the Stillen site. Free shipping too! I called him and he sent me a PayPal request. Completed transaction in less than a minute.

My 2013 Nismo does not have the issue you described. There is a white detachable disconnect clip to the left. Once the clip is removed the entire unit is separate. I showed a picture under the Bose Bass and there are no additional wires. Additionally, when the long screw in holder is screwed in it is tight and flush.

But if you take out the spare, can you still put the Bose sub back in place? From the pix, it seems the spare rim is the support of the sub.

Hmmmm. Good question! Pictures to follow tomorrow. :)

chii370 09-11-2012 07:38 AM

yes yes. the issue was when u remove the spare. BUT I will admit a foot in mouth on the little white clip. so u can take it out. but I have another question. will the Bose system still function properly, I know Bose systems in particular are very...... tamper sensitive.

DavidB123 09-11-2012 11:09 AM

I had the same set up in my a Acura and the bass had a short. It was removed for a week and the stereo still worked. It was a Bose too.

So I disconnected the Bose Bass speaker and the system still operates. The Bass is a little wobbly when the spare is removed! There is precisely 1.5 inch of free space so I went to my local auto store and bought a rubber grommet to keep just in case. With the grommet installed the Bass is secure without the spare. I placed the grommet on top and put the bolt through it kind of like a big washer

I noticed there is a towing bolt.

Is that the part number 402852 because I thought it would not work for the nismo model?

I'm sticking with my version.

What is the issue with part number 402852 Stillen Gen 3? I spoke with Stillen and they said it works fine with the Nismo. In fact it is listed on the Stillen site: STILLEN : STILLEN Generation 3 Ultra Long Tube Dual Intake Kit

Nice Solution! But you DO need a donut for donut in case!:icon17: I also wonder if the Bose sub is mounted this way for the non-nismo 370zs as well.

good solution David. I will buy a grommet for mine as well. and also, I don't have a tool sitting in that empty spot ether on my 13. neither did my 09. always assumed it was for another model and didn't care.

If that's true. How come I have one installed on my Nismo? You have to do some extra cutting on a panel behind the bumper. Look in my journal for pictures. ;)

DavidB123 09-12-2012 01:48 PM

I contacted Stillen again and verified that the Generation 3 is 100% compatible with the Nismo. A little extra adaptation is required as reported in miltiple posts including a great DIY and by RUSTY.

Sorry if my original post was misleading, but I should have said that the Gen III will not fit the NISMO without modifications.

I wanted something that did not require any cutting. Hence the no go on the Gen III.

In my defense, some people consider a part where you have to cut or modify anything in order to install it as not fitting.

Check this thread out. No mods need to be done. These are the CAI's I am looking to buy.

they have the same thing available for the frontier and titan. apparently going by average those give a 12.5 whp gain according to the dyno chart posted. so I would assume its similar to that. just not happy I have to drill holes in stuff. they put the filters in the fender wells to avoid drilling. so now u have to drill something ELSE to relocate the washer fluid bottle. face palm.

The guys at Stillen say that the Gen 3 adds an average 22 HP for the Nismo!
