Here is mine, seibon TS hood, no issues with water getting into the engine bay yet..... dust? sure but so much heat dissipates from the hood which is great at the track!

Yes, water can access the engine bay more now but the electronics and air filters are covered. Even after market intakes would place the filters far enough away to not be an issue with most aftermarket hoods.
Dust, more will get in but just means you need to wipe down the engine bay more. Minor negative to the added heat removed and cooling added.

which ones don't have them? I don't have a washer bottle, so I don't need them when I eventually get a vented hood.

this is the carbon creation hood.. the vents are huge.. had the vents covered with lexan glass cause this was my daily (not anymore) and was afraid of the rain/ water getting in. also got this hood just for looks. anyways it didn't come with washer holes..

This hood is for sale if anyone is interested. Not sure shipping tho. Never ship something like this before. But if your local or near st Louis Mo. Pm me.

i was wondering if your hood is lighter than the stock hood. i heard our aluminum hoods are pretty light.

Before you buy a CF hood, understand that many companies (I think Seibon does this) use fiberglass filling to reduce cost.

If the look is what you want, go for it. In fact I would recommend it. But if you are concerned about performance (every pound on your car matters), I would be careful and find a place that uses only CF in their stuff.

That vented hood looks sick. Wish I was good enough to make that big of a mold. Can you take a pic of the underside of it?
