I got to drive my Nismo briefly before the bolt-ons went on and they do make a difference. If you go further than the intake (headers, hi-flow cats etc) you're going to want to get it tuned or your low-end torque will suffer (plus it's bad for your engine).
Don't expect a different "feel" to the car, but you'll see slight gains in acceleration and how the car behaves at high RPMs. Plus as mentioned previously, the sound it makes is much, much nicer - especially at high RPMs. Rule of thumb from what I've observed in the aftermarket scene: Fast Intentions > Stillen > Nismo BUT that said, FI costs easily 2x as much as the Stillen equivalent for extremely minimal gain. I went with Stillen. Stillen parts have history, are solid as hell and let's be real, Steve Millen. *Edit: All of the above are just my opinion and observations. Not trying to start a pissing match here. |
